Was out Christmas shopping a few weeks ago for DD and these pants hopped off the rack and took me into the change room. When I emerged pants in hand, I was told they were the last pair, and on deep discount. We're talking deep. One of the clerks leaned over to see what size, and remarked, "oh that's my size...are you taking them?" The huntress in me growled back yes! and I flashed my plastic, forcing her to retreat.

I can dress them up ( as shown here) or down with a lovely grey cowl neck, or neon oversized top. Possibilities are endless. What I am not sure about is their length.

Currently I have been wearing them 'full length" with booties - sorry no pics.

Ideally, I think they should be worn with pumps/heels and hemmed to show ankle bone. (not in this current weather!!) In these pics I have rolled them up about 2.5 inches. Does that seem right? Should I shorten a little bit more?

Would love your advice!

Pants look amazing on you. I suspect a bit shorter is the way to go - and you can tuck them into boots and taller booties if desired.

I may be a weird one but I like them full length - and then you can wear them with heels AND flats. Great find, Ms Huntress!

Ceit - the pants are from Ann Taylor. And yes Sveta, I did purchase a few things for DD as well. That's generally how it works - two for the giftee, one for the giftor Suz - purchased the pleather jacket on a whim when my sister and I shuffled off to Buffalo last March. It's from the luggage/leather store at the Fashion Outlets. It's been a bit of an orphan, but a light bulb went on when I saw Angie's post on cropped jacket and shirt/jeans formula.

I'm leaning towards keeping pants full length during this season,but am thinking that short, like a cigarette pant is the way to go. of course that would mean I need new shoes since the ones I'm wearing read a little dated to me. But I think more pics are in order before anything drastic happens. Thanks for weighing in !!

On the length of the pants, I have no idea--I'm really bad at that sort of thing. What I would probably do is go to the AT website and see if I could find pictures of models wearing the pants. I might also take the pants back to AT for additional help with fitting.

That sounds like a good idea for the pants. I have a similar cut pair from AT and I basically did the same. Actually -- they were petite, but a size big, so a bit slouchy on me...and ankle length. So I had the hems taken down an inch. I feel they are still not quite right and ideally would have liked them a touch longer or shorter, but they work well with toned booties or with pumps.

The pants were a fab find! I like the length as is, but they'll still look great on you if you decide to shorten them.

To clarify, in the pic I posted, I've rolled the existing hem up 2.5 inches. I will post some more pics, when I get a chance of the full length and with different foot wear. So appreciate everyone's comments. Waving to my pant twin!
