My new Michael Kors white watch has just arrived today and I am absolutely in love:

I really hope to remember to take it off when I go to in the magnet since it is my favorite watch ever and I would hate to see it destroyed like it predecessors.

You have such delicate wrists, Tanya. The watch looks just the right size and shape, and I'm so glad you love it.

I have to ask the question though: What do you mean, "go in to the magnet"? I assume this is a research lab term but I am dying to know details!

For my research I do magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and there is this big scanner involved with super strong magnet. Looks sort of like this:

It is housed in a special concrete room because of it's super strong field. Anyway, you have to remember to remove your watch and your credits cards before going inside that room otherwise they will be all destroyed ( demagnetized). I am good about my cards, but I tend to forget I have my watch on!

Tanya, the watch looks perfect on you. Can you make a note somewhere to remind yourself to remove it? It would be a shame to ruin this one. It's very pretty.

just curious: does white get dirty easily, and if so, is there a good way to clean the band? i'm hesitant to venture into white watches, as i am quite clumsy doing hands-on things, lol.
