I was thinking about what item in my wardrobe I wear and use most frequently and what my top 10 is likely to be (gear excepted). Now that I have them all collected together, I can see cohesion in palette and style, so this has been an interesting exercise.

Bag - I always carry a bag and the one that I have used most this year was one that I bought, thinking it would be a fun colour to add, not expecting that I would be wearing it with everything.

Dresses - dresses are my working uniform - one item and I am done! These 2 dresses are complete workhorses I always feel confident and professional when I am in them.

Cape jacket - Jackets, capes or coats over shift dresses are my working wardrobe. My cropped white cape is one item I constantly reach for, it is fun and adds lightness to my outfits.

Shoes - my boots are the most worn footwear and these grey Paul Green heels get worn probably more than any others to work, even my beloved white boots, as they subtle, dressy and comfortable.

Denim skirt - worn year round, with a t-shirt and sandals in summer and with knits, coat and boots in winter. Love it!

High waisted skinny jeans - I love the colour of this wash and I am constantly wearing them.

Uniqlo shirt - bought because I love the colour, it matches the bag, and being light cotton it is so comfortable and washes up a dream. So glad I duplicated (and wearing today with favourite jeans and bag)!

Winter coat - I bought this coat on deep discount at the end of 2016 Northern Hemisphere winter and when I wear it, people comment on the colour. I love the retro 60's vibe and the colour is far more versatile than I originally thought. Fun with lilac bag and white boots.

Zara knits - I am cheating to say this is one item because I have 5 of them - red, navy, ivory, grey and pale pink - so they are the easy under layer to be worn with jeans, pants and skirts. I duplicate because after about 12 months of heavy wear, these need to be replaced.
