You know how movie stars often turn out to be so much shorter than we imagine?

Our own personal movie star, Lyn, is TALLER than we imagined!

It would be so interesting to do an analysis of why several of us imagined her as petite!

I think part of it is that you have sometimes mentioned a size when you've made purchases, lyn, and I always assumed the short height that typically goes with that size. You are also extremely nicely proportioned, so that makes height determinations trickier. And you wear youthful styles.

Well, here's crossing fingers that the Halogen skirt will be a winner for you!!!

Lyn*, that's interesting--for some reason I thought the clothes I sent you were too big for you, which is why they didn't work for you, so I assumed that you were thinner but taller than me. I did know you were tall.

But I seem to recall you always buying XS and 0 sizes in most of the items you've bought recently, so I still think that the size 6 will be too big on you.

I just assumed you guys thought I was little because I'm asian.

All the people I meet usually say ... "You're tall for being asian!" ... thanks? :p I used to be very sad that I didnt' have a "sixteen inch waist" like Scarlet O'Hara; but then I grew up and realized I'd rather let my internal organs jiggle rather than squish em all up in a corset.

lyn, I think you may be OK with Halogen skirt in 6. My waist is 30" and my hips are 42' and I needed sizer 10 in it. So -2" in waist and -4" in hips should be OK for 2 sizes down. Anyway I have my fingers crossed for you! And you will get more length with size 6 than with size 4.

Wow, lyn! I take it back...the 6 may be the right size after all. I guess we are very similar in size. I don't know why I thought you were petite. It's not because you're Asian, because I am too. I think it's the sizes that you've previously mentioned, and maybe the pixie hair cut? That just goes to show that pictures can be so deceiving!

I'm bringing my sleeping bag too!

LOL. I just assumed you were petite because of the F21 stuff. The selections here are often very short, but they never look indecent on you. Maybe they make longer hemlines for the Canadian market?

Oh; I have a few indecent F21 skirts I've tried on. I lol and wonder who would want me to wear them (besides silly boys).

I really hope that everything fits. You have some great items there.

Like I said, I guess it will depend on waist size. I have a 26" waist but 40.5" hips. I fit in the 4 in the skirt (still a bit bit in the waist) but liked the extra bum room. Had I been back to my lightest ever "adult" weight with 38" hips I would have definitely gone for the 4 or maybe even a 2. It also depends if you like the skirt to ride at your true waist or on your hips--
