My turn in butterfly dress!!

I ordered this dress in the correct size and now really like it. This pic is with belt and boots for fun. I'm wearing it today with wedges and no belt to work. Sorry about picture quality!

What a gorgeous dress! Nakidra, I'm wondering if the dress might still be just a size too large, though? I absolutely love the pattern on you, and the pairing with the cognac belt & boots is divine.

It may be the picture, but it does still seem a little roomy on you. I'm guessing that you are quite a bit smaller than I am, and I had to get this in a size small (I'm usually a size 6/8 these days), so I think it's cut a little generously, especially in the top. I'm wondering, if this is the smallest size available, maybe just a little tailoring would do the trick?

Really cute with the belt and boots but I think it still looks too big up top. I hate to say this but it makes it look like your girls are sagging. Can you size down again or get it tailored?

I have a similar dress from Anthro and it's also quite roomy so I may need to take it in as well. Or else live with the baggy look.

ETA: Just saw Angie's comment--blouson sounds much better than baggy! I'll have to remember that one!

Good to know, Angie! I thought that might be the case, because the belting seems to work to keep it from looking overwhelming. I don't want to threadjack Nakidra's post, but I think I've been hyper-aware of the fit of things in the torso lately because I am adjusting to my new size, and I've come to realize that I'm smaller in my under-the-bustline measurement than I ever thought. I'm having to tailor a lot of things! Glad to know this dress won't be one of those.

Really pretty styling! I wonder if it might look a bit more crisp if you wore the belt a smidge higher. I'm wondering if it's contributing to the too large impression some of us are getting.

Janet - I wish I could talk you out of the boots. I wear these all of the time and they go with everything. They can be worn over the knee or cuffed at the knee (not in a weird pirate way!)

Aha, I was just going to say that Angie had mentioned that this is actually how this dress is supposed to fit:-) The style is quite billowy and drapey, and I think this is the perfect size for you Nakidra. I think it looks absolutely stunning, very elegant!! And I love it with the cognac belt and boots!! Please keep and wear it all the time!!

Beautiful! Love it with the cognac boots and belt. It seems like a very versatile item, can be styled "up" or down as the need requires.

I've been so interested in the responses about its fullness on top. I think, as a somewhat older member, this blouson look was already familiar to me from previous fashion go-rounds, so it doesn't offend my eye in the least; on the contrary! And you have the height to carry it off!

I have to chime in again to say that I am THRILLED to see ladies sport this on trend, super hip and elegant style (waving @Janet and Nakidra). It's giving me the warm fuzzies! If the frock were more my colour with a higher neckline - I'd be wearing one.

Ladies, I got a million compliments on this dress at work. I also realized at around Noon that it has pockets! When you're wearing it you can tell it's meant to "blouse" because there is elastic at the lower rib area. I really suggest you give this style a try
