Hi all,
Thank you so much for all your advice and wisdom on finding a dress for my TED talk. I was MIA on the forum for a while because it turns out that writing and memorizing a good TED talk is a lot of work

Your advice was VERY helpful and you were right about the solid colors! I ordered 12 to find one that I liked - a solid sheath in Cobalt blue with an interesting sleeve detail to bring attention to my face. It was a change for me as I never ever wear one layer or short sleeves! But the clean lines kept the attention focused on my talk and kept me from fussing. And the complementary color worked well in photos.

I wore sparkly purple shoes because I refer to my style in my talk and how I used to wear purple doc Martens in high school to stand out. I thought the shoes were a nice tie in

I think it went well! I find my groove and people seemed to respond to it. My talk was called Marketing: The New Charity Superhero. I'll share it when I have the link.

Thank you again wise Fabbers!
