My Tanya jeans came today!

(henceforth they will be known as the Tanya jeans, if I keep them anyway)

They feel very comfortable and I love the wash. It's a very dark charcoal...almost black but not quite.

Sorry about the hoody, but I was wearing my lounge pants before and I was too excited to put on a proper top :p. They need to have a lot of length taken off, so I tried to fold them under as best as I could but it's kind of sloppy looking because there is so much extra fabric. The rise is perfect--hits me just below the belly button. The back rise gives ample coverage for my big behind--which miraculously looks much smaller. I hope you guys like them, but if you don't please tell me because I only want to keep them if they're fabulous.

I tried taking bunches of pictures but they just never come out that clearly. Let me know if I need to take a new set, maybe when it's lighter out.

They ARE fabulous! No question assuming the fit feels good in addition to the rises. Have you realized that since coming to YLF you have succeeded in finding some dreamy denim?

p.s. How will you hem the jeans - for flats or heels? I like how they look with your ballet flats!

I love them on you, but I am obviously subjective so my vote shouldn't count.

Btw, are those the Boden flats? They are so pretty!

Laura, I will be hemming them for flats. I can't wear heels (except on boots for some reason, and then only up to 2"). I'm going to leave them a bit scrunched at the bottom though.

My new denim collection is finally coming to fruition! I just put my Matchstick jeans and BR jeans in the "toss" pile (or maybe swap pile, depending how long it takes to get the YLF clothing swap up and running). This is technically not a swap since I'll be paying Tanya for the jeans, but still, a success story.

The shoes are the blue patent Boden flats I posted a while ago. They're not 8 hour shoes but they're as comfortable as my other flats and should be fine for a day of work. For $23, I'm not complaining.

If I get them hemmed in time, and weather permitting, I will try and wear the jeans to the YLF convention

Even though it's a true swap, it is the event that spurred the whole YLF Clothing Swap idea--so this is a good omen for the potential success of the future Swap Tab.

Well with everyone's blessings I am officially retiring my Matchstick and BR jeans to the "toss" pile. I'm very excited. I can't wait until they're hemmed and ready to wear. I highly recommend the YLF clothing swap program

Angie, the jeans are by Rich & Skinny, the model is called "High".

I have ordered them from Smart Bargains in a wash that was supposed to be a light bright blue ( here it is on another site)

but they have messed up the order and sent me a wrong dark wash, that wasn't even available on their site. I was going to send them back, since I was specifically looking for a lighter wash ( I already have Diesel dark straight jeans), but then Maya posted a thread the same day looking for those exact same jeans , dark wash, for a lower price than retail.

Since we are the same size, and these were very discounted, I thought that I could give them to her instead, since she wouldn't be able to order them directly from SB, considering that they were nonexistent on their site.

I wouldn't dream of giving you an apoplexy angie. That dryer incident was a one off thing I swear. I always air dry almost everything.

I was about to take these to the tailor today but I haven't washed them yet. Is that ok or should I wait? I don't know how this newfangled denim works.

FTR, I have 3 pairs of premium denim. I also have some medium wash 7FAM jeans, but I'm thinking of tossing them because I don't think the wash is that flattering. They fit well though so it's hard to say.
