My strange attraction (ETA nevermind)

I've been staring at this cardigan for a couple of days now on The Bay website. I find myself strangely attracted to it - I like how the front is all boho-drapey while the back looks more like a jacket. I adore the strong graphic print. It's polyester (which is not a deal breaker for me at all) and think it would work well in summer in those frigid A/C locations. I can see it with a simple white tee and shorts for Saturday afternoon at Starbuck's or with my black pencil skirt and tank with heels for work during the summer months.

What do you think? Am I crazy for liking this? Is my boho gene coming to life???

Why not? It's cool and interesting. To me it's hard to imagine ahead of time how it would look like on (anyone, including me--not just you). If you have the opportunity to try and return, you should give it a shot!

Summer is the perfect time to pick up a couple of boho pieces. Looks like a fun little number!

My style turns more boho in summer, so I can see the attraction for sure. The fact that it fits like a jacket in back makes it easier to wear than a full-on drapy-all-around look, too. It's worth a try. Sometimes when we can't get an item out of our head, we just have to give it a shot.

Not strange. I'm often drawn to these quasi-ethnic bright prints. However, it would bother me that the inside is just plain white, if it's going to show. It may not bother you a whit, so go for it!

OMG Una - you're brilliant and observant! I didn't even notice the white interior and of course now can't "un-notice" it!!! That would drive me crazy when walking and the front flips open as you glide and BAM....nothing but white. Deal breaker - thanks for the keen eyes Una

Never Una...NEVER!!! This is the kind of thing I typically don't notice and then the first time I wear the item I'm like "yuck...I didn't know that was there"...

I think it's really cute and the white doesn't bother me. Especially if you wear it with white underneath. But I didn't notice it either until Una pointed it out.

It is an interesting garment with an appealing pattern… but, yeah, the plain white inside might make it less appealing and less versatile. (Smart observation by Una.) Hope you find something similar as I quite like the idea of this. (I, too, trend a little boho in the summer and am drawn to similar pieces.)

I can see the appeal and also understand about the white. I also wonder about the hold of the fabric. It doesn't look very sturdy, yet it's sewn into a model that should be stiffer, it seems. I really like the back. And if it were denim, leather, faux leather, I'd say do for it without hesitation.

Una, lovely sweater, but priced at over a thousand dollar in Canadian money! Gulp! I am baffled. How can one spend so much on just a sweater? It must make you feel eeeeeextra nice, the shade must be juuuuuuust perfect, or maybe it is truly magical and erases all imperfections upon slipping it on? Mind you at the bottom of the page there are more over-one-grand tops. Am I on the same planet as other people? Or maybe this is just normal and I was very naive?

Oh yes, I feel the same way you do about visible "undersides" of fabrics! I certainly like the idea of a fab printed topper like this for your spring/summer wardrobe!
