When I posted a few weeks ago about wanting to splurge, and not knowing on what, I got all kinds of good thoughts and suggestions. Some extravagent...diamond studs. Some advising on identifying a need and then going top quality on it. Some identified a splurge as actually the small things...whims and delights. Some said not to until I really saw the thing I couldn't live without!
I decided that my definition would be something I could not justify any need at all for, something I just wanted. But really wanted, not a passing fancy. But that wasn't unreasonably pricey, so I didn't blow the budget for later needs.
Enter my Shadowplay scarf! Shadowplay is the company that makes things from images taken by the Hubble telescope. They had a black Friday 30% off...done! It is huge, but so feather weight and soft that it feels light as air. This one is called Starry Night. It isn't my most beautiful scarf color wise but I just love the concept of wearing stars. You can't see in the pictures but I wore pearl earrings...outer space and ocean together.
