I had my afternoon shopping excursion today sans kiddo and it was divine.

My first stop was NAS, I didn't really expect to purchase much here but I wanted to try several things on. I expected I might pick up a couple of tops.

I tried both of the Vince contrast trim blouses, and the two foxcroft button ups, along with several other tops. My favorite top was the Foxcroft Tencel Chambray one in blue which they only had two sizes too large for me.

I was bummed that my store didn't have plus size activewear so I might order some Zella stuff to try.

I tried the Jag jeans pull on Jeans. http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/ja.....ltback=468 I was excited to see them and they reminded me of my favorite jeans to wear with longer tops, Reitmans comfort fit, I didn't like the way these jeans felt at all. They were way too stretchy and felt rough. I will just have to make another order from Canada for fall as these are my dressier jeans and are starting to show more wear than I would like.

I ended up having my SA order the Foxcroft Chambray in my size. I decided I was going to walk around the mall for a while and maybe come back depending on what else I saw. What I really needed is casual summer tops and loungewear tees.

Next I went to Macys and tried on about 30 items. I ended up with some really cute lightweight banded waist tees from American Rag, I picked up three different prints and spent about $35 total there.

Last stop was gap. I tried on a ton of stuff there as they were having a massive clearance sale. I bought two sweaters, 4 tshirts, and a tank and again spent about $30.

I have notes about all of the items I tried so now that I will be back to ordering online I will have some idea of what size to get. I am in this weird abyss between misses and plus sizes. It gets very confusing trying to keep up with it all.

Overall I felt like I got done what I needed to, took home some really great pieces for the next half of summer and into fall. I very much enjoyed the experience. I have decided that I'm going to start taking a half day for shopping on a regular schedule, maybe once every 4 months.

I will post pics of my one NAS shirt when it comes in and the new tops will get mixed in to rotation next week.
