My shopping plan for 2011-2012: Input needed

I decided to update my big ticket wardrobe items in the upcoming year. I purged my closet a bit over the weekend. Thanks to some purging, donating and some creative refashioning, my summer wardrobe is now in good shape and my fall/winter wardrobe has always been more small, manageable, and harmonious. So apart from replacing basics as need arises (bras, underwear, socks, tights, gym clothes, work horses should they happen to die on me), I decided to pool my funds towards the purchase of spendy, big ticket items (which for me would be upwards of $50-100 depending on the type of the item). Can you help me compile a list?

I currently have the following:
Puffer
Trench coat
2 pairs of knee high boots
Two leather jackets
All of these have been recently purchased, fit me well and make me happy.

So I am thinking:
A wool coat
A handbag
A pair of sunglasses
A watch

What am I missing? Thanks!

Once we enter boot season it tends not to stop. I'm voting for another pair of boots (or booties). And you often layered dresses last year, I vote for a cashmere topper (cardigan or sweater) to stay warmer and have a break from layering with a blazer. Also a handbag is always a great investment item.

I know you said that you were replacing basics but how about really great lingerie,

I vote wool coat and purse accessories. It's really nice to have lovely things that go inside your purse as well. The second tube of Dior lipbalm, matching or nicely contrasting wallet, eyeglass case, key fob or case, etc.

Thanks for your suggestions. I thought of one more item: premium denim!
I think I am fine on the booties front (although it depends on how much I wear the current ones this season). I've never owned anything cashmere, so it sounds like a good idea. I wouldn't know where to start though, so I will let this thought simmer for a bit.

So currently my list is something like:

Wool coat - one is on its way to me from NAS
Premium denim
Cognac boots
Handbag
Sunglasses
Watch
Wallet
Umbrella

How should I prioritize? I jumped the gun on the coat about a week ago and purchased one from NAS. I don't know if it will work, though. Should I start with the sunglasses? I can start wearing them already, whereas I won't be able to get use out of boots until October. I am notoriously hard to fit in jeans, so I think that will be a whole adventure of its own. Should I go to a Macy's and try on everything they have? Where do I start from?

Wtg on the winter coat, great selection for your first purchase.

Good plan to get the sunnies. I'm not sure about where you live but cute sunnies aren't in stores for long here. The next might be the cognac boots, best selection early.
