Hello Fabbies,
Hope everyone has had a lovely week.
Lately I have been coming to appreciate more and more what an impact shoes have on an outfit.... I mean MAJOR IMPACT. I would almost go so far as to say they're the most crucial element. Anyone with me on that?
Anyway I feel like I could do with upping my shoe game, and I am particularly keen on navy, cream, and a more current alternative for my red ballet flats...
I also love pink and blue and have quite a bit of it in my wardrobe atm. Additionally, I just can't seem to adjust my eye to loafers and mules, so they're out.

If I could find charcoal grey shoes they would be great but they're not common.
Anyway I have compiled a little trendy shoe wish list.... Now better start saving....

I am most seriously considering, the Docs, the Adidas sneakers and the Rollie cage shoe.

Nice set of shoes! Those Docs sure bring me back to my youth, though I personally never had any combat boots with so tall a shaft. Both those JC shoes are to die for.

These are all amazing! I especially love the first two pair! And red sneakers would be brilliant on you!

If I could, I'd also like to recommend that you try a soft gold metallic -- it would bookend your hair and work really well with your wardrobe in spring.

I am in full agreement that footwear makes the outfit. It adds currency like almost nothing else. So when styles don't favour my feet or my climate I feel very sad.

Yes, shoes are a great investment in the overall look of any outfit. You have a good looking wish list. I really like Suz’s idea of adding a gold metallic for bookending.....booties similar to the Jeffrey Campbell would be spectacular!

i'm 100% in the footwear make the outfit camp....like Suz, i think they can update and make an outfit current, they can also add a bit of interest to an ordinary outfit without making you feel like your entire outfit is a statement

Jussie I couldn’t agree more about shoes being a key to adding life to ones personal style. You have some amazing choices here. I love the idea of red Adidas. They are fun and fresh, and probably comfortable too! I like the first two Jeffrey Campbell choices also! In my experience spending on shoes is not a mistake as long as you are sure they fit well when you make the purchase. Feet stay fairly constant in size unless you are still going through pregnancies. If they are well made, they can last for many years making the initial investment pay off over time due to their functionality. Recently my shoe edits have been pairs that are well worn from years of use, or those that are so old they are hopelessly dated.

Shoes are my favorite wardrobe item. I frequently decide what to wear by choosing my shoes first than building an outfit around my shoe choice for the day. I am willing to spend a lot on shoes but they must be comfortable and in a style that will transcend trends. You are off to a great start with your wish list.

Jussi, as we are about to go into warmer weather I say pass on the Doc boots. I love Docs myself, but I don't think you will get much wear out of them for the next 6 - 8 months unless this is something that you will wear with spring / summer clothing.

All of the others, are beautiful, and I agree, shoes can make all the difference. The JC boots and t-straps are totally gorgeous!

Huge shoe fan here, I have been known to say that they can make or break an outfit. I like your pics and think my favorites are the white boot (gorgeous!) and the red sneakers.

Those are all great choices. I can imagine that with this type of shoe collection, which seems to cover all the bases, you’d have an option for every occasion.

I have been eying both of those Jeffrey Campbell shoes, especially the Melina's, but worry about comfort. You never know until you try, but in my experience the coolest-looking shoes are often best suited to a low-volume, narrow foot.

Many times I've set my heart on a pair of shoes that look great and would make many outfits pop, only to find the fit is off in some way (usually a combination of tight toebox and loose heels). And unlike clothes, you can't really alter shoes to fit...

And, like Suz, my other big constraint is climate. I have to be strict about not purchasing too many "fair-weather" shoes, because we don't get much fair weather! And the dressy shoes I do buy need to be really versatile, since opportunities to wear them are rare...

Apparently my grandmother said you should always spend the most you. can afford on the shoe element ofyour outfit because good shoes make the rest of the outfit look better.l love those docs!

Ill be another enabler! Besides changing the appearance of outfits, shoes get a lot of wear. Poor little things have all our weight on them all day. Best to stock up

Yes I am in a shoe lusting mood!! A plug for the Rollies - mine are so comfy and I want to wear them all the time. I also think the red sneakers would be awesome for you.

I love the cream booties, the cage shoes, and the red Adidas for you. All fun, lighter/brighter colors as your weather warms up. The booties and the cage shoes are in keeping with your arty vibe, but still current. And, I completely agree about the importance of shoes- I am certainly one to spend a bit more to get high quality craftsmanship and interesting details, especially since I tend more towards a uniform look with my clothes.
