My niece comes to me every other week when my brother has her... Today her mother picked her up as she had some very heartbreaking news to tell this 11 year old who has been through so much these last 5 years...
Sunday night she went to my brothers and her mother let out their two dogs, who can jump a 6 foot fence.... my niece tells me that if they stay out with them they don't jump it... Anyway they jumped the fence and got out... They were both hit by cars and killed... Apparently the first dog died immediately and his brother stood guard over him with bystanders trying to help get him out of the traffic... A large truck hit that dog to the horror of the 11 people who stopped to help, killing him as well....My niece is just 11 years old and in the past five years, she's dealt with my mother's death (grandmother she was very close with) , her mother abusing her and my brother fighting for custody and losing, her mother having cancer and most recently her mother having a stroke...My niece hyperventilated and scared her mother and grandmother when given the tragic news... She did say" they were born together and they died together as they were brothers". She even began making a memorial poster within an hour . When I texted her tonight she thanked me and simply wrote, "I am heartbroken". My heart is heavy tonight as I ache for this child and for my brother who called me in tears over his daughter's pain...
It's too much for this child who is hurting every day watching her mother struggle to talk and not getting words out and ending up in tears ( from the stroke..)
Just needed to vent my own heartbreak....
And if that wasn't enough... My husband is dealing with crazy making from a narcissist consultant who wants a permanent position in the form of his job and has sabotaged and outright lied... the owner doesn't see the truth and my husband's days at his position are numbered...
