My quick NAS visit - YouLookFab Forum

Quick takes:

- sale sections are NOT curtained off as in the past, but for the first time ever in my experience, they had someone checking cardholder status, and they gave me an “ambassador” level wristband so I could look in the cordoned off sale areas.

- nice simple bralettes on sale in various colors. A black size S came home with me — my only purchase from the sale — as it was super comfortable and contained the girls as well as any bralette ever has.

- LOTS of animal print and earth tones. Lots of menswear glen plaids and houndstooths in jackets. Not much color-wise that excited me, but others will surely find some great stuff.

- nice animal print shoe selection

- nothing interesting in knitwear that I could find

- nothing interesting in denim — everything still seemed to be skinnies

- decent coat and jacket selection - a couple of interesting plaids and pretty blues, plus the fuzzy coat trend still going strong

- interesting blazers by Veronica Beard and Rag & Bone — I did a quick try-on in pics 10-12. Size 8 VB red plaid fit me beautifully (pics 11-12)but I have no need for a red plaid blazer. Size 8 scrunch sleeve long blazer (pic 10) nice but colors are a little too muted and warm on me. Size 6 Rag & Bone (pic 9) kinda fit but a bit oddly roomy in the upper body - maybe for broader and deeper shoulders?

Love the dress in #2. It looks like one you should try on. I'll be interested to hear if that bralette rolls up at the bottom. I think you have a short waist as I do. I have yet to find one that doesn't roll. It's a shame you don't need the VB red plaid jacket. It looks fabulous on you. Thanks for the pics!

For me I like the zebra print jacket. I hope maybe to find a flat or low heel cool color animal print, but it does not look promising from your photo. And I am hoping for a cool color coat also. That seems possible.
I might head over later today or tomorrow for a sneak peek of what I can see from outside the ropes.

I almost want to get a real job just so I can buy and wear that red plaid VB blazer! The fit really was lovely, even the side and back view.

Eek ! I want ALL of the footwear please and thank you. Plus a faux fur leopard coat plus the subtle plaid blazer with the red under collar. Lol. That VB jacket is all sorts of beautiful, I think you should get it to wear with jeans, a graphic t and tough boots.

I love that VB blazer (especially with your coloring) but I understand simply not needing it. Sometimes I think we’re conditioned to buying things because we’re so excited that they look good and fit and on sale yet they really don’t fit any needs or (semi practical wild card). That being said, I was super disappointed it was sold out when I was at the store today! Many things were so I may hit another store tomorrow but will probably order online.

I did manage to get Hanky Pankies, two silky lace trimmed camis from BP and a pair of Aquatalia booties- so super happy even if nothing else comes my way.

Thanks for the sneak peek! That VB jacket is what caught my eye in the catalog; it’s gorgeous. I hope it’s available online tomorrow. It looks great on you but I get not needing it. The rag & bone looks interesting too. And I can’t wait to see more coats.

I really like the animal print jeans and wish they weren't skinnies.

The plaid blazer looks beautiful on you. Of course you could edge it up with some black, but I guess it may not be a style you'd reach for often.

I only have two blazers left in my closet, both from over five years ago — one burgundy (Elizabeth and James, accented with leather), one black (BCBG, with slit sleeves). I dress them down with jeans and sweaters or tees and boots. I have a soft spot for a good plaid blazer, and I can’t help but think it would be cool as Lisa said, with denim and a tee and cool boots... I am always cautious with red, but since this is mixed with black and white, it feels more comfortable to me than, say, a solid red jacket would.

I tried it on just for grins, and so folks here could see the detail and fit. But darn if it hasn’t stuck in my mind. Nothing else at the sale other than those boots did that. It would be a wild card for sure...

Get both! If you haven’t worn them by November, you can return. And, I’m sure someone would happily snap them up at that point.

I snapped up those Paul Green checked boots the first day. Ticked all the boxes for me 1. Love combat boots 2. Love red (been looking for red boots) 3. Love Paul Green shoes - Can’t wait to wear.
Note - I found them a bit roomy - I stuck with my normal size 8 but will need to wear a heavier sock ( I was worried I would regret the 7.5 as the toe box wasn’t as tall but the length was ok).
