I got the PG Julias in gold, last pair in my size at the store and they already ran out of black.
I had to order the PG loafers, they sold out, too. I was able to get burgundy in my size and also ordered half a size larger in gray.
My other purchase online was the VC mock turtleneck flower blouse in white with black flowers.
Maybe I will try the Julias in black as well but I am afraid that if I order them they will kill the joy of the gold pair. Too much of a good thing may be bad. What do you think?
I am adding picts at Nordies with the PG Julias. They have a nice 2" heel.
The sideways pict is of the VC top I ordered.
Unless I find something extremely compelling which would be a great dressy jacket, I think this will be it for this year. Maybe I will add some underwear, but that will be it.
Oh and I also tried the AGLs with the block heels but I was in between sizes so neither worked. Pict 4

Love your shoe choices. I have learned if I duplicate a shoe in another color, I only wear one of the colors. YMMV.

-Suz, the only thing with the top is that it's sleeveless but it can still be versatile.
-Sterling, speaking of wide feet, these PGs fit mine.
-Thistle, the same has happened to me, I end up favoring one color and the favorite one becomes less special because of the other color.
-Crazyone, you are too funny!!! You gave me a good laugh! I tried on a few pairs of shoes but not as many as I would have liked to because the store was very crowded. I also tried some OTK boots which I liked but they only had them in suede, not leather.
The lying down picture could have been me on the long line waiting to pay for my shoes...

Well, could you use the gold for summer and the black for winter? To me, the gold would be an only-summer item, so there would be no overlap.
Thr black would certainly work better with black and dark trousers, while the gold would work better with dresses and white jeans.

Yes, Angie, those were the AGLs I tried but sadly I was in between sizes.

I didn't try the lovely bootie that you are showing. I already have some PG in black suede and an AGL in black leather from two years ago and from last year.
The OTK boots that I tried were the VC Melaya from page 37 in the catalog. They only had suede and I wanted leather.

-Smittie, that's a good way to think about the Julias. The gold ones are prettier but the black are more practical.
-Sterling, I hope they work for you, too if you decide to try them. You will probably get better use of the gold color in your area than what I will get around here.

As a big Paul Green fan, I'm so excited for you, Joyce! I love the Julias, especially in the pewter/gold color. To me it looks more special than the black ones. The black are a sophisticated look, but there may be some other black pumps that come along, so I would lean against duplicating this style. It's such a comfortable heel, isn't it? I tried them on but the toe box felt a little too narrow, in my usual size and a half size up. So I am happy to admire them on you. Glad you are getting the loafers, too--they are so cool looking.
Your VC top looks really pretty, too. I'm laughing at your comment about the long wait to pay. It wasn't that crazy at my local Nordies today.

I hope we will be twins with the loafers, I had to order them but they are still pending shipping, I hope they did not run out.

I have a pair of PG oxfords in this gold/pewter color and it is perfection. It's close to a nude, but I don't find it to be a warmer weather only color because of the cool grey undertone to it.

Joyce, I didn't get the loafers--I got the AGL oxfords in burgundy. I'm going to be admiring the loafers on you, because I think they are very cool, but I find I don't reach for loafers. The thing is, I just don't know how to wear them in a way that feels like me.

Oh that's too bad, FC, I was hoping to learn how to style them from you.
Enjoy your AGLs, I also have the burgundy color but now I am thinking that the gray is probably a lot easier to style. I'll see how you style yours

Traci, that's a very good point that you are making. Plus, when the snow comes I always switch to my Timberlands anyway so the PGs are only three season shoes. The gold tone does make me happier than the black.
It's great to hear that your gold tone PGs have been great for you and that they are not just for Summer.
