I really like Angie's Soia and Kyo puffer coat, and when she showed it on sale recently, I decided to give it a try. It arrived today, amid snow flurries!
As much as I love the coat, I am not sure it's right for me. I'm showing it here (photos 1 and 2) and would welcome your thoughts on keeping or returning.

The other photos are a couple of things I bought this weekend--with Spring in mind!--and plan to keep.

First is something I was not looking for, but rather, a logical impulse buy. It's a reversible slicker by Mycra Pac, a slick white rain jacket on one side and quilted light-gray knit on the other. This heather light gray is not a color I really like to wear, but I will probably wear the white side most often (living in a rainy city). And yet, I as many of you probably know by now, I do love clothing that can be worn more than one way! So I like having the gray side as an option. It makes for a perfect travel companion, don't you think?

Second is a pair of pewter oxfords with a white platform sole. I have been thinking of getting a pair of platform sneakers or oxfords, with a white sole, for spring and summer. I tried on several contenders and ended up with these Steve Madden platform oxfords. They are a little stiff, but reasonably comfortable. I had to size up a half size from the larger of two shoe sizes I usually wear. I also tried on some adorable thick-soled sneakers by Steve Madden, Vince, and AGL, but decided the oxfords were more my style. I will say that there is a big difference in comfort level between the Steve Madden and the Vince shoes. If I had loved the look of the Vince shoes on my feet, I would have splurged for them, as the feel is divine. I also found the Vince more comfy than the AGL. But just comfortable enough (a new term, anyone? JCE!), at a much lower price, won the day.

Thanks for looking! I welcome your thoughts on the Soia & Kyo coat and any other comments you'd like to share.
