Two new items, that in some form or another have been on my radar for a while:
1) (pics 1-3) Ok, I'm a bit mad for plaid lately, but I saw this shirt some weeks ago and could not get it out of my mind. Then...a sale and a coupon made it irresistible! Yes, you remember correctly if you're saying, "Janet, don't you already own a few plaid shirts?" Well, two of them are flannel and do not layer easily under sweaters or jackets. The oldest, cheapest, least favorite one is getting demoted to ranch wear to make room for this one. I love the lightweight cotton and the colors are my favorites! You can even see how well it goes with my burgundy blazer, and in fact, I wore that combo yesterday (didn't get full outfit pics though, as my day was non-stop).
2) (pics 4-5)Whatever you call this style -- a cricket sweater? -- I have always liked the sporty, graphic quality of it, and I was tempted months ago when a very slouchy white version of it appeared. But I never pulled the trigger on that version. When I spotted this one, I thought I'd give it a try. Again, sale and coupon enabled. It's slightly sized up for a bit of ease and layering possibilities, but not so big as to be overly trendy. I envision wearing it with distressed or BF jeans to de-traditionalize it. I also feel like the fact that it's black and not navy or white makes it slightly less traditional.
Not a K/R because I'm pretty happy with both, but thought I'd share. Tags are already off the plaid shirt but not the sweater. Feedback welcome.
