Although I'm mostly a jeans wearing type of person, this pinterest photo inspired me to try something a little different, so I picked up these grey wide-leg sweatpants at Zara while I was in Vancouver a few weeks back. They had a few different grey wide-legs to choose from but I chose these because of the lighter fabrication and the pin tuck seam down the leg which I feel gives it a tidier appearance. I did size up for more comfort around the waist and a fear of shrinkage after washing. I paired it with a navy, cotton cable-knit sweater and my grey Ecco soft 7s.
I think its a cute casual look despite the fact that its sweatpants and a looser fitting silhouette than I'm used to wearing. Its certainly comfy to wear around the house but seems totally appropriate to run errands in too. I feel the neutral colour palette, refined sneakers and the plain, fluid knit top help to keep this outfit from looking too sloppy or bulky on me. I'm enjoying expanding my fashion horizons with this simple, relaxed outfit.
Anyone else experimenting with a different style silhouette?
