My pink capsule

Some of you may have noticed me experimenting with pink. I liked a pink corduroy/sherpa jean jacket that didn't like me. No matter what size I bought, it didn't look very good on me. It was a pretty color, cute design, and oh so cozy.

Here is my pink capsule. Most of these things were thrifted or on sale.

JCrew wool blazer - thrifted and altered by me
Jones New York jacket - thrifted
Columbia hooded waterproof jacket
Pink, purple, turquoise poncho - woven by my MIL, sewn by me
Pink and green paisley scarf - thrifted
Hand knitted scarf
Ball cap

Why crazy? Pink is a lovely color and these are all pretty things. I approve :).

The opposite of crazy!-) Pink can look stunning and be surprisingly versatile. I love your capsule, JAileen, and how you are collecting different shades of pink (on my screen some look more on the peachy side, some closer to a pink tan, and all are fab). + how they can work for many occasions because you have both dressier and casual items covered.

Of course, you are not crazy. Pink is a lovely colour and looks beautiful teamed with blue and grey (which are other favourite colours of yours, if I remember it right). Personally, I think it is so good to see people wearing some non-neutral items.

Lots of blush here too - which is easier to wear than actually pink - at least in my dim mind. And you're not crazy - you can do whatever you want with your clothes !

Not crazy at all. You have a lovely variety of pinks and it looks great on you. I accidentally ended up with a pale pink cashmere hoody that I'd thrifted for an aunt to felt for parts of a baby blanket, then found out that she was no longer making felted items. It was a color that I never considered wearing but fit well into my Cold Spring capsule.

If it's crazy, then that makes two of us. I'm ALWAYS on the lookout for pink and am currently in hot pursuit of a moto jacket in blush!
That said, it's not easy for me to find shades of pink I like. Last spring I looked high and low for affordable pink shoes. No dice...

Not crazy at all. I really like the pink blazer on you. Pink is great with navy and gray. You are emboldening me to try some pinks - one of my hard and fast avoidances with strawberry blond hair that I am now questioning. So keep on pushing the envelope-you are helping others!

What a versatile collection, and a versatile color. It’s interesting that there’s barely a murmur at grouping this range together as “pink”. Not even “pinks”. Is there any other color like this? Khaki probably comes closest. I wonder if that’s a language thing, or perception.
Anyway, nice beret. And paisley junkie that I am, you know I like that blazer and hope to see more of it.

Thanks everyone. I actually forgot two items: pink jeans and a pink plaid flannel shirt. The jeans may have started it all.

Fashion tern, another color like this is green - kelly, olive, forest, chartreuse, teal. The other day I was looking for some yarn to go with an olive jacket. Most of the olives were too yellow. The jacket is a very cool olive. Pictured is the yarn I bought.

Pink is great, and so is your capsule. I didn't wear pink for years because I didn't know what my perfect shade of pink was. Now that I have that figured out, I have collected a few pieces. Pink is much more versatile in my wardrobe than I imagined. You'll probably be drawn to wear your pink items a lot.
