Wow. That took three days.

Grey is my least favourite neutral, but I DID buy these boots in grey because they are prettier in person. They are lighter and more textured than in the stock photo. See my pics.

Gorgeous, Angie! Grey is one of my fave neutrals! But I am leaving these beauties to you since I am hoping to revive my Aquatalias for another season. I admit I wore those booties very hard last year and they are showing their wear.

Great choice! I don't see this as a pure grey but maybe it's the photo. Paul Green is quickly becoming my fav footwear brand - giving Aquatalia a run for its money.

I saw them in person last night and agree that they look much better in person that in the stock photo. I would have been tempted if the shaft was a little higher, since most of my winter pants are cropped.

I can do pearl grey in small doses, and am thinking of these booties as pearl-grey-LITE.

How interesting about the full length pants, Angie. Do you think that the trends are slowly turning back towards the full length, or was it a more personal decision to suit your own preferences and needs? I am very curious, as I need to plan my pant wardrobe for fall&winter, and most what I have are cropped pants.

HAH, Lisa. In my defense - the scarves were on the floor for YLF forum pics - soooooo, deliberate. But there was no excuse for the olive skinnies being on the floor. Disgusting. *smiling*

Yes, I know what you mean Angie. I am very curious to see how this will develop for you in practice. The Elie Tahari black pants I bought recently are full length, too; and I may end up getting one or two more wool pants for the fall. Lots of hemming will be done as I don't think scrunching ( and esp. not rolling) is appropriate for dressy pants.

Sorely tempted by those too. I have a pair of PG ankle boots that have been doing heavy lifting through three winters now. They are brown though. I wonder how grey would work for me. Intriguing.

My rule is cropped pants on full-length legs, full-length pants on cropped legs (e.g. mine).

I love the boots Angie. I am doing full length pants. I never really embraced cropped pants and certainly not for winter.
The tan colour interests me. Very nice.

I prefer to get pants full length, which most are on me or even more than full length and at the most they can be hemmed. That is an insurance for when fashion will try to sell the same pants that they cropped but now full length.

Angie, will you be spraying your booties to make them water resistant and if so will you wear them on rainy days? The advantage of the Aquatalias it that they have a rubber sole and that some (?most) have been waterproofed.

Angie, how often do you apply the waterproofing spray? Do you wear them in the rain after that?

I have very nice suede shoes but they fit into what you call precious because it rains a lot here and I don't wear them much because I don't want them to get ruined. I should just not buy any suede.
