In my previous shoe-shopping post, Denise pointed out that many of the shoes I was considering were really duplicates of things I already had. So I'm now thinking that maybe I should get something I normally wouldn't get for myself, which would be quality, comfortable sandals/sandal alternatives. I usually can't bear to part with much money for summer items, but if I'm going to stay in retail it might behoove me to have stylish footwear year round.

Here's what I came up with so far:

1-2: Raffia wedge sneakers/oxfords. Pretty rad! But would they go with my clothes? Midi skirts and skinnies and BF jeans for work, short shorts for play?

3: I know some of you dislike Danskos, but I seem to have a perverse attraction to them. These remind me of Hasbeens and have good reviews. These also come in neutrals, but I sort of feel the color makes them feel less like Comfort Shoes. I'm picturing them paired with darker clothes in summer weights - camo, olive, rust, black, charcoal...

4: Not a closed-toe shoe, but the foot is mostly covered. Not sure if these would pass muster at work or not, but they are like $40.

ETA late night browsing contenders #5-6. High, but with a mighty platform that evens it out to 2". And of course a pair of boots on super sale that may be loitering in my cart.

Anyone seen any other styles for an UWP/SGT? Caveats: I prefer maybe a 2" heel, and I don't particularly like most oxfords.
