My Nordstrom's order - shipping question

So, having finally placed my Nordstrom's order, it looks like I won't be getting half the stuff anyway.

They haven't even shipped a good proportion of it (ordered last week) and if it doesn't arrive at my husband's cousin's place by Friday, he can't bring it back to me. I don't want to ask Martha to send it across the border because I hate to put her to that trouble and expense when she is already being inconvenienced by my multiple parcels.

Sigh...Oh, Elliot Luca bag, how I would have loved thee.

Nordstrom is kind of funny that way. They ship some of the stuff directly from a store. Depending on where the store is, sometimes it only takes a day or two to get the packages delivered. So maybe all is not lost yet.

Thanks, Makrame. Maybe I will get lucky. I AM going to get at least a few items. So we'll see. A shipping label has been generated, whatever that means....

That's why I don't do large orders from Nordstrom. It costs me $5 a box to receive packages at my shipping place. Most likely the items are coming from multiple stores.

I ordered 6 things through NAS and they all shipped on different days from different stores....I hope you get your pretty stuff Suz!

Sometimes it takes a while to ship, for the tracking status to show up, etc. I've noticed that once I have a tracking number, my stuff is usually halfway there and arrives within 2-3 days. It's only Monday - if you ordered last week, I would expect most or all of it to arrive by this Friday.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you, Suz! It's such a shame when you put such effort into deciding what to order. I was influenced by you and went to Nordstroms over the weekend and was about to pull the trigger on that bag, but asked for the black/gray version and they brought out a slightly smaller variation. I decided to go with that because the other bag seemed a little too large for my lifestyle. It's beautiful, though. Good Luck!

Yep, my NAS order got here in multiple boxes, my UPS guy was starting to look at me funny. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you!!!!!

I find for me once I get a shipping notice from Nordstrom the item is on my porch when I get home. I am in the states, but they do send them in random groupings from stores everywhere. Fingers crossed for you!
