Dear friends, it has been a while since I have participated here and I am sorry for the longer break. I have fallen out of fashion for a while, but now I am back and feeling it again. It started with a new haircut - i have a lob now, although it is not visible in the pictures I am posting today - here I have a ponytale. The new hair brought about the new motivation to create some new fun outfits. I also bought a new wild card - an outlet find consisting of a patterned sweater coat by Marc Cain collections. I hade doubts it will work on me due to the fact that it is a thick knit with a rather dramatic pattern. But I happen to love it. Here, I have styled it over a column of black and added a green silk scarf by Elie Saab which I had in my closet for years. What do you all think about it? Any styling suggestions here? Any feedback and comments are much appreciated.
The other day I got inspired by someone on YouTube sporting vintage men’s ties. So I visited my husband’s wardrobe and literally confiscated a few basically vintage ties he currently does not wear. Here is an outfit I have created around one of the ties . I combine the tie with a brown resin chain with gold closure. I like how’s the shape of the links harmonizes with the pattern of the tie. The jacket is a diy - a little jacket made from an oversized men’s sweatshirt. The inspiration is from YLF member DonnaF - thank you DonnaF for the great idea. I like the play of texturers when wearing it with chocolate brown pleather pants. Black boots to match my almost black hair and a hobo black hand bag (not shown here). What do you guys think of the hopefully playful combination?
