I got over my fear of ordering shoes online, and ordered these shoes from Amazon.
I was very impressed with the shipping - they were expected next week but arrived today!
I was really worried about sizing, and followed the charts to order a US 7.5M to fit my AU7 foot.
They are divine - I adore them, they are exactly what I was wanting - VERY well made.
BUT, they are firm across the widest part of my foot I've been wearing them around the house with band aids on my feet and trouser socks on, and I think they are perhaps softening a little...
Do you think real leather is going to stretch enough through that widest part, or do I need to pop them on ebay and cut my losses (easier than returning for me)? (I remember reading leather stretching tips so am going to find them again now!) How long do I persevere with stretching?
These are my first pair of "real" leather shoes since a pair of boat shoes about 10yrs ago and my Dr Martens around 15yrs ago!
But I guess its a lesson learned too - I probably do need a wider shoe than regular width... (Varying widths aren't that common in Aus - well not in any of my local shoe stores).
