Sounds good! There is another ingredient in your approach to dressing that I can only describe as 'zest'--a sort of optimistic and eager energy that I think we all respond to--maybe it would fall under your heading of 'edge'? (Must admit that I tend to think of edge as something a little less friendly! But your explanation makes sense.)
