Inspired by Shiny, I stopped by ATL today on my way home. I tried on many pieces and liked them a lot. Since I have a coupon at home, I came home and ordered online (free shipping above $75 and 20% off above $150.)

I tried this pants one in the store and it fits like a dream. I need one for work and this is perfect. I was not sure if this link is the one I tried on because of "Sateen" in the name, I sure didn't notice any thing "sateenish" while trying it on. I hope it's the same that I saw.

I love the idea of the white work outfit. Unexpected but still professional, perfect for summer. The earrings are pretty too. You should model everything for us...or at least for me so I can see how everything would look on me

I have the jacket, but the pants didn't fit me right so I passed them up. (ATL pants don't usually fit me - except sometimes the Ann's fit okay). Yesterday I played around and figured out multiple uses for the jacket - over jeans, over skirts, over dresses. You'll love it!!

Those earrings are adorable. The dress, I'm sure will provide an elongating effect. I didn't see that one at my store.

Well, shoot! That dress is a petite, and I don't see it in regular sizes.

Katie, check your local store. Mine had loads of them in regular size.

Should I keep it?

From a personal perspective, I tend to like things that are either very fitted or very over-the-top voluminous. Anything that falls in between looks like a mistake to me. I feel like I would rather see you in something that either has more waist definition OR a shift dress style that isn't really meant to be that close.

I have a feeling I'll be in the minority on this, but perhaps being body type twins will give my response more weight

You might very much be in the majority. I don't know what's wrong but it sure makes me look fat and short.

Ha, Julia! I wasn't going to put it quite like that, but I'm in general agreement with your comment. It sure fits your chest area nicely, though. Is there any way you could have it taken in at the waist? Maybe if you pin it back and take a photo, we could help you decide. Or if you don't think it's worth it, I say send it back. The J. Crew dress I coveted did the same thing to me. I may try on a larger size though and see if I can have it taken in (I'm keeping my fingers crossed).

The dress does NOT look bad. But I think that you can do better. There is something about the empire cut that is just not right. Would you agree?

I don't think it's worth the effort to alter it. I'll return it. Angie is there anything you know that's worth trying?

Oh my goodness, Julia. I'm so glad to hear you say this about the blue dress. I went to AT Loft last weekend, found the dress, tried it on and was completely underwhelmed. First, it was too short on me. In addition, it was just blah. Fit great at the bust, but then it just hung on me. Maybe I'm paranoid, but I always feel like that style looks like maternity on me. And since I'm SOOOOOOO done having kids, I don't ever want people to mistake my attire for maternity.

That's funny Katieck, it does look like a maternity dress once you mentioned it. I was very disappointed too, and I even tried it on before I bought it!

Since i started taking pictures, I can tell much better whether something works for me or not. I don't trust the mirror any more.

Julia, love the earrings and the suit... since I have the same jacket (except in white) - we'll have to plan to wear it on the same day.

Did you buy the jacket in petite or regular? They didn't have it in petite (sold out) so I bought in regular. I think it fits me fine. If you got petite though, I'll be curious to see how it fits on you compared to me.

The dress... I did not see this one when I went to ATL. I did try on some dresses while I was there. But I am always hit or miss with their dresses!! I'm hit or miss with *most* dresses, especially AT, so I don't know why ATL would be any different.

I agree with Angie - it's not horrible but yeah you could probably do better.

Color is very pretty though!

I echo the feeling that it's not bad, but you could probably find something much much nicer. The length is nice tough, and it fits you very well at the chest.

Shiny I bought the jacket in petite, also in white. It fits me pretty well, I think, you know I don't trust the mirror any more. I'll wear it tomorrow and take a picture to share. Since it's Friday tomorrow, I can wear jeans. Maybe you can wear something similar and post the picture too?

I agree that it looks like maternity wear. You don't look pregnant in it, but it's not flattering below the bust. I do like the length though.

Oh thank you Nicole! You are so kind! You know I was so tiny before having my daughter ten years ago, I might have looked skinnier than this while I was three month pregnant.
