Can I talk about my new blog on here or is that a no-no?

I just created a new blog... first blog ever actually! It's about being skinny but not fit and my journey to fitness. I'm going to include links to different products including make-up and clothing so it could pertain to this site?

Oh BTW, the first blog I'm watching on my "watching blogs" link is YLF!

I hope this isn't a no-no... I'm just so excited about it and feel like maybe you guys could help me stay accountable?

Medicechic, I don't think it's a no-no. You're not on here just to promote your blog, and there are other forum members who post links from their blog. I'd be interested in seeing it--do you have a link?

Just curious if you've had a check-up lately... if so and you're in good health, I suggest setting a goal to run a 5K sometime within the next few months. You will be amazed at how much you can accomplish if you take baby steps every day. You'll go from not being able to run around the block, to easily running a mile, then 2 and then 3. Check out some couch to 5K plans.

Thanks Queen Mum! I have had a check up recently, but am do for a follow up in a few weeks (asthma and all). I think my doc would think a 5K is a great idea!

Along with having asthma, I've always had a higher heart rate/ low blood pressure and no one has been able to pinpoint a reason for it. Exercising more should help both, although I remember having a high heart rate even in high school when playing sports and practicing every day. I even had a cardiologist tell me to eat extra salt once!

I'll have to google the couch to 5K stuff. Thanks!

This is sooooo great. I love this idea. I have been pretty skinny my whole life and people have always assumed that I was "fit" - I was some times and many times not. At my skinniest, it was because I was sick and people would actually say, " wish I could get that illness ! " Someone actually said that to me after I burst an artery and almost bled to death ( I needed 14 blood transfusions - ain't that healthy ? ). I spent 10 days in an ICU on a feeding tube and someone WISHED for what had happened in order to lose weight !

One of my friends used to joke that one day I would pass out and be rushed to the ER where everyone would say, " She looks skinny and fit, what could be the problem ? " And after some imaging tests they would find french fries surging through my veins !!!! LOL and sooooo true !

Anyway, honey, I am going to join you !!! I soooooo need to get fit to keep up with my young children ! YAY !

Love your blog. I used to be skinny and fit. Now I'm not as skinny and not as fit. I relate to your issues, and the fact is it's a lot of work and willpower to drag yourself out to exercise when you aren't in shape for it. The good news is, it can't get worse, it can only get better. I applaud you for starting to keep track and I will be following along on your journey!

I am another skinny out of shape chick who needs to bite the bullet and get exercise.
I have a low blood pressure weird heart beat situation also that the doc and I are investigating and more than anything this is why I'm afraid to do anything but hope to turn that around soon enuff.
It's amazing though what a bit of time and determination can do-- have fun and work out that dog!!!

(I was so fit at one time that when the docs first started investigating my heart issue they gave me a stress test--way back then it was on a stationary bike--they spent an hour trying to stress me by tightening the tension on the bike and making me talk to tire me out but they gave up after an hour----ah the good old days LOL)

I haven't found many blogs done by skinny girls that aren't fit. I'm glad (for lack of a better word) to hear that I'm not the only one.

Isabel and Patty, good luck in your endeavors and keep me posted!

Patty, they gave up on my heart beat situation and decided it was my normal *ick*! I did notice a depression medication made it worse (on top of making me shaky, extra anxious, and extra b****y. Getting off that medication helped and I'm hoping the exercise will end up helping it more!

Did anyone notice that my profile pic is my "body shape" pic from YLF? I think I'll write an entry about that! I would link to it, but I have no idea how to do that!
