My new Bauhaus inspired watch

I’ve been basically wearing a Casio F-91W for the last two years and I thought it was time for a new “nice” watch. I’m a big fan of pared down and uncluttered design and had been thinking about getting a Bauhaus inspired watch for a while. I never quite found the right one though, until last week. It’s from a German watch brand, good quality and I think just the right size for my wrist. And I love the mixed metals! I also think that the Logo looks great. I know that many watch enthusiasts don’t like Junkers because they dislike the logo, but I think in this case it works great with the look of the watch face. I can’t stop looking at it... What time was it again?!

Anyone wearing something similar? I would love to see some pics.

Thanks! It’s difficult to find the right size. The classic women’s watches are mostly too small for my taste (besides the fashion brands which are often way too big).

That is an amazing watch and I’m this close to getting it myself :). BUT I have just purchased my first watch in more than a decade (upping my accessory game) so getting a second one now seems like too much! Fyi: here’s my watch. I have long been pondering between this type of vintage, jewelry like, and very feminine watch (LOVE the rectangular shape) and a more masculine style such as yours. If wearing a watch really appeals to me I may check out yours as a second option!

I understand, I’m always tempted by watches. I don’t wear a lot of jewellery (and none regularly), but I wear a watch on most days. I love to look at watches in the stores, I think I spend more time there than with the handbags... If you consider that then it’s really surprising that I don’t own more. But I’m so happy with this one now that I can see myself wearing it for a quite a while.

Your watch looks lovely, and different enough to my watch that you could own both! I’m not enabling or anything...

Yours has a beautiful clean line Astrid. I am enjoying the first one I bought in 15 years, which I got late 2017. An Australian brand.

I love clean minimal watches too. Yours looks great. I recently bought a Skagen that I have been wearing constantly. It is more feminine than I prefer so i am on the hunt for a square faced one.

Barbara Diane, totally understand why you miss it, it’s lovely! I also own a Skagen watch, it was the very first watch I picked (and which wasn’t gifted by my parents). That was when Skagen was still largely unknown in Germany and a relatively small brand, almost twenty years ago. It’s too small for my taste now (and the battery is dead right now). But I always loved how lightweight it was on the wrist, you didn’t really noticed it at all.

I am a Skagen aficianado as well, and this is my latest acquisition. A present for mother's day. I've never owned a dark colored watch before, and I absolutely love it!

Love that watch! I’ve always been a fan of Bauhaus-style watches because of their clean, stream-lined aesthetic. I’ve also owned several Skagen watches over the decade but my current everyday watch is a grey-strapped Rosefield which caught my eye as I walked by the watch counter. Now I’m off to investigate that Junker brand.

I've been wearing this Victorinox watch for at least a decade. I bought it to replace a similar watch by Gucci that I had bought in the early 90s.

Recently I bought a Casio G-Shock, to wear on bicycle rides, and I figured it's a fun style that I can wear with street clothes, too. And a couple of years ago I bought the Olivia Burton floral watch with rose gold case and blush leather band, to tide me over while my Victorinox was being serviced!
