Thanks for posting this, Angie. I'm starting to strategize. So far, my thoughts:
NO boots or booties. I still have tons of great booties that are not worn out, and I even have plaid combat boots from a few seasons ago. Plus another lug soled pair from last year. If I get the yen for something later in the season, I can reconsider, but assuming I'm still comfortable in the old booties, I'm going to keep wearing them. I could, however, go for another pair of sneakers of some kind. I wear them consistently, so why not.
No gear -- I'm set for that, having spent most of my pandemic fashion dollars on same.
Underwear only judiciously -- I need to see what's offered in my size and although I typically use the NAS to stock up, I'm not desperate for an upgrade this year. I could use a t-shirt bra, if one shows up in my size. We'll see.
What I want:
- A comfortable, easy to wear and easy to dress down pantsuit to replace my old BR Black Watch plaid. The jacket of that suit is still wearable but the pants are pretty worn.
- A couple of sweaters to update my knitwear capsule. I need to retire a few items.
- A casual lightweight coat.
- In my dreams -- an upgrade/ update for my beloved J. Crew utility coat. SUCH a great coat.
- And also a very lightweight parka to replace my North Face, which was bought second hand and is getting a bit tired looking.
