Hmm, just looked back at the Pantone palette; this looks like it will be a great shopping year for those with Spring complexions or who love pops of color.

What a great dress! I bet it looks amazing on you !! I can’t think of anything for my wish list (thanks to a healthy amount of shopping already), but i won’t say no to a hewi zipperless cognac chelsea boot, if it appears!

I am excited to see your picks!!

Oh wow, the dress is gorgeous, Angie!

What a gorgeous souvenir of your trip - that dress will be stunning on you.

Beautiful dress. I love it too!

Lots of turquoise appearing here in Australia. (Check out Country Road if you are interested.) Maybe this will be your year

A few things that are on my cold weather shopping list are shoes/boots/booties
and sweaters (both pullover and cardigans). I found myself wearing a light jacket or cardigan to work, even on warmer days. My one last pair of boots are shot and I'd like to replace them, as well as expanding my bootie collection (which is currently just a single pair of black booties). Assad as it makes me, I realize that black isn't the best color for me.

Wow! The print on the dress is so striking. Absolutely gorgeous.

I’m taking my clothes shopping very slowly this year. Many of my favorite pieces went unworn last winter, so I’m going to take the time this fall and winter to see what I do wear, and where I have holes, with a more hybrid office/work-from-home life. I’m going to check out the tops- Zoom meetings are clearly here to stay, and I need a bit more variety/interest from the shoulders up. My collection of statement shoes don’t help much in that regard.

What a stunning dress, it goes with half of you wardrobe! I can't wait to see it in action.

I like your NAS strategy and have prepared similar lists myself. I am looking for the following:

  • Replacement/upgrade of some outerwear (black knee length puffer, black leather moto, off-white leather moto)
  • (Almost) anything in eggplant and teal
  • Burgundy pantsuit or blazer
  • Black and teal sheath dresses
  • Dressy leather (not suede) booties in burgundy and navy
  • Two-toned watch (silver-gold)
  • Some very specific basics

Your new mesh dress is fabulous. I miss Sweet Pea and the like and still have an old mesh two piece dress in a black and white floral. The skirt got damaged with a hole but it does not show because of the pattern an is ok to wear at home on a hot day.
Thank you for the NAS tips. I have a list in my head but I should write it down. I am hoping for warmer shades of colors this fall at retail and need an overhaul for my wardrobe for colder weather. I need a strategy and warm long pants. I will be looking for black and white flats, denim bottoms that pull on, thick Ponte fabric, more color and light neutrals to wear on a daily basis. I do not need more booties or even boots unless in a narrow shaft and faux fur lined white snow boots. I got rid of lots of sweaters that are too short and my wool pants and most of my jeans. A few are left to try for fall but all of most will probably have to go.

Thanks for your NAS thoughts, potential shopping lists, colour palette opinions, and kind words about my new dress. It's going to be an interesting NAS and shopping season as we head back to almost "normal". It will mean different things to different people. Lots to think about.

Brooklyn, I LOVE this from Country Road! Complete with white loafers

I will be taking the week off with Greg, Sam and Jo! Still here, but not as active.

Oooh, the dress is GORGEOUS!!! Can't wait to see how you style it later in the year. It looks really fun to wear.

Thanks for sharing your shopping strategy with us, too. Puts my thinking cap on. A cap that has been off for well over a year,!

Stunning color combo in your new dress. Anxious to see it in action.

Making fall lists and enjoying the NAS buzz.

I am a bit out of sync here at the moment - winter sales are in full force but spring/summer is not available.

I have an online order in for three pieces that are delayed (two pairs of cord pants and a coat - we will have to see what works).

Enjoy your time off, Angie! And, early “Happy Birthday” wishes for Friday. It’s nice you don’t have clients on your special day!

Angie, it’s perfect for you! I think Bijou might be tempted by some of the selection too.

Beautiful dress! Look forward to your outfit pics!

I made a list for Fall

A great pair of boots
Dresses that not summery or sleeveless
Sweaters
Pants
Great pair of jeans ( if it NAS maybe G-Star)
Jacket?

I also need a winter coat after last winter I don’t want to be caught unprepared again!

I am covered on gear, sneakers, loungewear and basics.
I will be watching the NAS section closely.

ETA I love your dress-Angie

Oh boy, it's so hard for me to think about winter dressing when I am loving our currently hot weather. I'll have to go check it out though.

Love that dress. I recently got a mesh dress and the fit and drape are so nice, why have I never had one before now?

Your dress looks fab, Angie. The palette is a bit different what I think of as your signature colors (sour brights), though it clearly works into a capsule of yours. I bet it looks just gorgeous on you and it will be yummy with that turquoise coat.

Thanks for posting this, Angie. I'm starting to strategize. So far, my thoughts:

NO boots or booties. I still have tons of great booties that are not worn out, and I even have plaid combat boots from a few seasons ago. Plus another lug soled pair from last year. If I get the yen for something later in the season, I can reconsider, but assuming I'm still comfortable in the old booties, I'm going to keep wearing them. I could, however, go for another pair of sneakers of some kind. I wear them consistently, so why not.

No gear -- I'm set for that, having spent most of my pandemic fashion dollars on same.

Underwear only judiciously -- I need to see what's offered in my size and although I typically use the NAS to stock up, I'm not desperate for an upgrade this year. I could use a t-shirt bra, if one shows up in my size. We'll see.

What I want:

  • A comfortable, easy to wear and easy to dress down pantsuit to replace my old BR Black Watch plaid. The jacket of that suit is still wearable but the pants are pretty worn.
  • A couple of sweaters to update my knitwear capsule. I need to retire a few items.
  • A casual lightweight coat.
  • In my dreams -- an upgrade/ update for my beloved J. Crew utility coat. SUCH a great coat.
  • And also a very lightweight parka to replace my North Face, which was bought second hand and is getting a bit tired looking.

@Brooklyn - you know me too well. I have been looking at Country Road's turquoise items, thanks for the recommendation!.
