My NAS purchases (or, why I need Angie's lists)

1/2/3 -- Guess Asymmetrical Funnel Neck Leather jacket. Why does it look so different (and awful) on me? This is a size Petite Small and the sleeves are very long, as long as regular sleeves. Sorry for the complete lack of hair and makeup (and hiding behind weird shades). Purchased on line. Definitely going back.

4/5/6 -- Caslon colorblock sweater. I am modeling it scrunched in the sleeves and length in picture 5. Pulled both down in 6.

Is anything here worth keeping? Should I try the jacket in the XS Petite; has anyone else tried it on and are the sleeves magically shorter or did I get a flawed specimen?

The jacket fit is nothing like that model shows. They must have cinched the waist in the back. Sorry, no it does not work and I see why you would try it. Was so cool in the photo- The blue top looks fine. keep.

the red top is hard to tell from the color. Fit seems ok from here. how do you feel?

I'm unsure about the jacket. It really depends on what you are wanting. It's a boxy shape where as the way the model is standing it looks like the jacket is quite soft and has some shape.

Love the color block sweater. That cobalt color is stunning on you and I like the shape and drape of the top.

The top in 7/8 is great (I have this in a navy and also white) but I'm unsure of the color. Could just be that I haven't seen you in this color. I think it works on you tho.

The jacket's sleeve are too big, and it's not fitted as in the photo. I vote return on those. But I like the others! The colorblock sweater is terrific, and I think you'll get great use out of the blouse.

I vote nay on the jacket, it seems big on you all over, especially the back. Love the other two items: great fit and color on both.

Too bad about the jacket! It's aggravating when they make things look so different in the pictures!

I like the color-block top. The Pleione one might be fine if you can size down.

I hear you on the difficulty of buying online. I'm sending almost everything back that I've ordered, and I've ordered six different leather jackets so far and still haven't found one to keep!

I am also petite XS and tried on the color block sweater. I love how it looks on the model and hanger and thought it would be a great easy piece. However, I tried it on and the neckline just did not look right on me. Sometimes it seems to that when pieces are made in regular sizes and petite sizes, the proportions are not always sized to petites appropriately. My friend works for Nordstrom and does the online pictures and descriptions. Petite models are not used. I keep this in mind when I look at the pictures, the model is 5'8" and I am 5'2" so it will not look the same on me.

I like the mixed media top in that colour! On trend. It did not make my NAS list because it has already been a "fab find".

Return the other items. Go check out my leather jacket picks. The Theory leather jacket is not on the list but it was beautiful too!

That colour blocked top has a weird shape and I put my foot down with my clients NOT to purchase it.

Ya, they must have the cinched the waist for the pic, on the jacket. IRL, it doesn't have a waist, just comes straight down.
