Runcarla, the sweater feels soft. Surprisingly so. I will caution that the knit is going to be one that pulls easily, though. There are a lot of fine yarns and long-ish stitches that can get caught on things.

wow, that dress is stunning on you!

Jenn, that's so nice of you! I was interested in a long vest, too, specifically for the plaid peasant top I showed above. I used to have a long burgundy vest that I wore with it, but the vest got rather worn and dated looking, so I passed it on. I tried on ribbed, buttoned vest, but liked this open-knit one so much better on me, both in style and color.

Love the pants you made in #1 and #2.
Love the sleeveless dress on you, the long vest and fabulous burgundy oxfords!
Thanks for your synopsis of the grey Aquatalia boots on Suz's thread. It's helpful to know the type of grey they are.

Thanks, Smittie, and you're welcome!

These are stellar picks.

Fabulous choices...and IMHO that teal dress looks better on you than on the model !!

Aw, thanks, shedev and Cheryl.

Absolutely stellar picks! I am vicariously enjoying the NAS through you all, from the UK.

You have such a good eye, Firecracker. I would wear all those outfits in a heartbeat. I knew when you described it that I would like the dark red crossover jumper, but I went back to check your trousers - gah, you made them! Did you design the pattern yourself, or is there a pattern you'd recommend? I have done pattern cutting courses but still find trousers hard.

thanks, SecretSquirrel--I'm flattered! Both pants are Sewing Workshop patterns. The brown ones are the Hudson pants, and the dusty olive ones are Trio pants. In both cases, I altered the lower leg to make it narrower, more pegged. The Trio pants are lengthened from the pattern, too--my intent was full-length pants, and then they continued to shrink in the wash (after I pre-shrank the fabric), so they are somewhat cropped now. My Hudson pants are shortened from what the pattern shows.

Oh thank you Firecracker! I haven't come across Sewing Workshop before. And thanks for pattern tweaking tips, sounds like that would be what I would need to do, too.

Oh wow, you made such great choices! They all look amazing. I particularly like the bodycon dress and the FP tunic. I didn't think much of the FP on the model but now that I see it on you I am definitely thinking its with a second look.

Nice pics! I also bought the mock neck dress in that color. I like the way it fits you. It sort of hangs on me. I think I am going to exchange for a smaller size. Thanks for sharing!

Wow! Firecracker for the win! I love that first top in 1-3 and the teal dress is gorgeous on you! Dresses love you and you wear them well. I like the long charcoal vest and you'll enjoy that in so many ways.

Thanks FC. Sleeveless is fine for me, even in winter, so the dress really appeals. I am worried it could be a little short for me in front. The site says 39 inches long but I am not sure whether that's in front or back. Are you tallish? I hope you don't mind me asking.
And we are sweater siblings now! I KNEW this day would come

Great pieces. I love that cross over sweater. I'm very tempted to put it in my cart.

Diana, I think the tunic would look great on you, and also the dress. The cool thing about the dress is it could be the backdrop for some really neat hand-knit item. I think it would look great with a cape or poncho style topper.

Fathenry, I commented on your post before I saw this comment. A size down is worth a try.

Thanks, Vicki!

Brooklyn, I'm so excited! I love that sweater on you and in that outfit. I think the color might actually be pretty similar; mine looks darker in person to me than it does on the website. As to the dress, I think the 39" is in the back. It does come up pretty short on me in the front, a few inches above the knee. I'm just a tad under 5'5".

AM, if you need enabling, that crossover sweater comes in a lovely charcoal color, too. Well, they call it black, but it looked like a dark charcoal to me.

Everything looks great! I particularly like that crossover top on you.

Thanks FC. I think the dress could be a little short for me at the front. I look forward to seeing how you wear the sweater. I am excited too

Great picks! The teal dress looks so amazing on you! Also love the crossover sweater.

Excellent picks! The crossover sweater and the green dress are especially fab!

Thank you so much for taking pictures with your descriptions- it is so helpful! Many of these items I would have completely passed over based on the stock pictures (FP anything!). The dress is a dream on you!!! Also thanks for commenting on my picks- you have a great eye and I appreciate your input!

Your choices look great on you! I tried that Free People sweater, it's so great in person. It didn't work for me because it was way too cropped on my body. When I sized up it was just too big all over. I also tried the ruched dress as a possibility for a dress over crops look, but it won't work for that purpose on me. It's a great dress for anyone considering it. I think the size you picked is the right size.

My goodness, you chose well-I love the first sweater especially. Looking through your photos it is hard to tell what was already part of your wardrobe and what's new simply because the pieces you added are so cohesive while adding some great statement items.

What great picks you have here. I adore the two free people items on you, that sweater and that printed dress look so much better on you than the online photo.
