In addition finding items to refresh my style, I need replacements for worn out workhorse items. NAS has possible options for many of them, making my order large in comparison to last year (only a couple items).
1. Nordstrom Cashmere crew neck sweater (two colors..grey heather and teal titanic heather). The grey replaces a worn workhorse; the teal is a fresh color.)
2. Nordstrom moonlight luxe comfort layering tees- long sleeve, and tee shirt. I hope these are nice! (Replacement of basics)
3. Halogen cutout mock neck knit top - burgundy stem….not sure if this color will work for me but I love the look of this top for more dressy occasions. (Refresh item)
4. Halogen open front pocket cardigan - also in burgundy stem. (Refresh item)
5. Halogen sleeveless cutout pointe dress - grey dark heather. Basic sheath dresses like this tend to be workhorses in my wardrobe, and I love that this one is machine washable…. (Replacement item)
6. NYDJ Marilyn Stretch straight leg jean…..(Saybrook) I was looking for wide leg trousers/jeans, but didn’t find any I loved…this silhouette is nice and I think it could work. (Refresh item)
7. NYDJ plaid slim pointe trousers……Nicer than jeans, but still not as fussy as dressy trousers. Perfect for my current work environment.
8. Rails Hunter button up shirt….black, scarlet, ash….hoping this will work with my scarlet red leather moto jacket, and that the ash and scarlet lighten it enough for my coloring. (Replacement item)
9. Tumi Voyager Ruma Nylon crossbody bag…(dusty blue). I hope this weighs less and compacts more than my leather belt bag which I use regularly for travel and outings to our local farmers market. (Replacement item)
10. Ugg Karoline fleece robe - seal heather. This is to replace an old and worn out Ugg fleece robe, a wardrobe workhorse. I’m not sure how long I’ve had it, but it’s dark espresso brown, and I had it before becoming active on YLF, so possibly 8-9 years of heavy use in cold weather). (Replacement item)
11. Bernardo Neoprene puffer vest- titan; The color is very hard to see on my screen, I hope it’s some sort of grey, dark taupe or medium cool toned brown. I love the sleek look of this vest… (Replacement item)
12. Bernardo puffer jacket with removable bib and hood - Poseidon, I need a lightweight, jacket for early fall and spring, when the temps get cool but not cold enough for my down puffers. Love the color and style. (Replacement item)
13. Bernardo knit sleeve diamond quilt puffer coat (navy) - see above. I admit this was a bit of an emotional purchase. I love the way this looks…mixed textures, diamond quilting, long sleek lines.
14. ATM cotton and cashmere cardigan - yes, another long basic grey cardigan (which I already own in various iterations). This one is lighter in weight than those I currently own, and it’s ribbed which adds to its sleek appearance…(perfect for my style and it should work in the transitional weather I encounter both in fall and spring). (Wardrobe hole being filled)
15. Nordstrom 6 piece luxury Aerospin bath towel and washcloth set….(blue pearl and white). I need towels for the new full bath added in our basement and for our upstairs guest bath. (Household needs -
I bought towels for our master bathroom during the sale, and they are still soft and in excellent shape).
I am unsure about shoes/boots. I have a good assortment of shoes and boots already….and I am very picky about the colors of shoes I add to my wardrobe. The Rag and Bone pointy toe Chelsea boot in ash is one I am considering. Rag and Bone boots have fit my foot well and are comfy, and the heel on these is interesting, geometric, and somehow sleek. Not part of the sale, I ordered some Vince Cabria Lug Water Resistant Lace up Boots (cobblestone) to replace a similar workhorse pair that were worn out beyond repair.
I only added finds already available in the YLF feed because I cannot figure out how to add them from my devices.
FYI, The Lana upside down hoops that are included in this years sale are wardrobe workhorses for me. (I have both the white and yellow gold versions). When I first tried them, they slid out of my earlobes too easily….Through trial and error, if anyone has this problem, I advise wearing them backwards, (thread them from behind your earlobe instead in front). For me, that effectively prevents them from falling out and it looks intentional. I also tried small plastic earring backers but they did not work as well, the earring still slipped.
