I went to the NAS sale this evening with my husband and my 4 years old daughter in tow, which at one point I thought was a big tactical error. However, once we got there, I first got my daughter a pair of shoes that she needed and really wanted, and then I dispatched my husband to the men's department. Since my list was pretty modest because I can't shop for the fall clothes before fall starts (it's just how I am), I went to the hosiery and intimates section. There I got a beige bra, three pairs of tights (black, brown and purple), black stirrup leggings and regular black leggings. I also got some Foot Petals items which were on sale. So everything on my list was checked off except for grey shoes. I went to the shoe departments (this store had three shoe departments for women). I thought for sure I was going to find something I really liked that fit what I envisioned. It was not meant to be, so all frustrated I wandered off to Bloomingdales, and there I splurged on a pair of Via Spiga peep-toe pumps in brown with grey piping. They were unexpectedly exactly what I wanted.

Which means that I have solved grey shoes and brown shoes problem, and I can wear them with bare legs or with tights. In the end, it turned out to be a successful shopping outing.
