My NAS items - YouLookFab Forum

My order arrived today. I had ordered 9 items, knowing that it wasn't likely that all would work. That wouldn't work for my goal to reduce the size of my wardrobe!

Anyway, here are the keepers:

Autumn Cashmere sweater in a deep purple with black leather elbow patches:

Ella Moss charcoal mixed knit pullover in a cotton blend:

I'm pretty sure some others got the same cashmere sweater. It's soft and a nice weight. I hope the quality is good and that it doesn't pill. The charcoal one is very cozy without being heavy and the fit is nice and slouchy.

Finally, I am keeping these black boots from Joe's. They have both an inside and an outside zipper. There is a thin strap on the back that is attached to both the zippers- kind of cool. I like the pointy toe and the small cutout.

Going back:
- pink tweed coat from Helene Berman- I didn't love the color or the fit
- the popular Halogen floral sweater! The flowers were a bit bright for me
- Elie Tahari print silk blouse- great colors but it was a bit low cut and it didn't lay right at the placket/collar. I don't like things I have to fuss with!
- trouvé colorblock moto sweater- love the colors but I didn't like the feel of it and the sleeves were way too long
- Hard Tail asymmetrical knit top- it looked like black and white in the photo but there was some cream too and the colors just looked off
- Louise et Cie peep toe lace up bootie- really pretty color but too long for my short toes in my regular size. Could maybe size down but I think I will wait and see if I can find one with a closed toe.

Sorry for just including links rather than photos. I had things on and off too quickly to take any!

There's one more thing from NAS that I am considering, in addition to Angie's picks! Plus I found a pair of booties and a backpack that are on my maybe list.

I love all three pieces you linked to! They are sharp. I specially like the pull-strap on the booties and the different finishes of their leather. Hopefully you'll model them for us pretty soon.

Those boots are too cool! I hear you on the floral sweater. I looked at it and ultimately decided it wasn't "me" enough to buy. I could see myself buying a lower end (say $20) version and wearing it for a season, but it seems too trendy to wear it for multiple seasons.

Thank you! I'm really pleased with them. Last year I ordered a whole bunch of stuff and ended up keeping only 2 sweaters but I wore both of them a lot. So another 2 sweaters and a pair of black boots hopefully means I've chosen workhorses!

Both sweaters look like they'll be really useful, and are so pretty. I like the booties a lot too, but was wondering if it would get annoying to make sure that whatever sock is showing through the cutout doesn't look funny.

That's a shame about the floral sweater! Mine came and I think I'm probably keeping it. The flowers are definitely bright, but I like how it's a low-effort bright since it's just a print with a nice, calm navy background and I like the idea of having something for cold weather that's not just a dark neutral or a dark red/purple shade.
