My NAs adventure - part 3 and the last!

OK here is my footwear selection from yesterday. My main criteria was to find comfortable footwear I can walk to work in. I realized over this year that my life style requires walkable shoes as I do not have many dress up occasions.

I was looking for a red shoe forever. These were comfortable and the heel is stable. I hope that gold detail is not over top? I hope I can walk to work in them.

At last! I was looking for flat oxfords for a year without success - until now! It was a hard choice to decide between grey and brown though\. I liked the brown color - it is on the purplish side and my feet looked smaller in them but in the end I went with grey. I hope to wear them in summer as well and I like the low contrast better with bare legs. My hubby also voted grey!

They were non NAS and not on sale either but I wanted to try Fidji I heard so much about. I also wanted to get nude shoes for summer I can actually walk in. I liked these instantly and they were a perfect fit. From the online picture I was afraid they look like granny shoes but I liked them in person. What do you think? These are my first Fidji shoes and the most expensive shoes I ever bought (excluding boots).

These were the only tall boots which fit me. I like everything about them but are they too wide on top? I can always wear them with pants only but that would be a shame as they should go very well with skirts...Other solution may be to pull them down for an inch so they end on the widest part of the calf...I hope they work as I really like them!

I wanted to add combat boots to my collection to have more rugged boot option. These were comfortable and I like that I have options to wear them different ways: all up, a bit down and half way down. There is also an option to lace the flap in or not when wear it down for a different look. And check those fun red zippers on the back!
I hope they work - please be honest as this s a new style for me. I plan to wear them with skinnies tucked in and maybe with shorter dresses and flaps rolled down...

This was my footwear loot. How did I do? I hope I am all set for the fall and winter now!

Yay for shoes and boots success!!!! I really think you scored big time, Sveta! All of that effort paid off! I really love everything. Those red pumps are beautiful, truly. They look elegant and chic. I love the oxfords and the Fidjis! Both are fab on you. I think the tall chestnut boots fit you well, and I can see them working with skinnies or tights/skirts. They look great with your coloring, and that small gap at the top does not look like a deal-breaker, at least in my eyes. And, I love the rugged combat boots! I think they will look awesome with skinnies!

Home run! Home run Home run! I don't think you could have done any better. I genuinely love every single one of these. The red shoes are genius. The gold detail is so awesome. The two neutral shoe choices will never let you down. Fidgis are very current looking, not granny, and I think you will be very glad you took the plunge. The cognac boots are gorgeous, and don't look too big at the top whatsoever. And the combat boots are fun, fun, fun. I'm so glad you decided to get those. Now I cannot wait to see how you style everything. Super fab!

All of these are a success! I am keeping an eye out for your comfort reviews as you wear these to walk to work.
#1-Me Too Pump-I find patent material shoes work best for me with a footped inside to prevent rubbing from my sweaty feet. If you get blisters I would try this trick. The gold buckle is so fun! I almost want to pick these up for myself after seeing you model them.
#3-Gray oxford-Great choice, I like the leg lengthening from the lighter color too.
#5-Fidgi-I am also curious on the comfort for this brand. I like the style here, they are edgy and cool, no grandma vibes at all.
#7-BP boots-These look fine fit wise. I don't see enough of a gap to worry about. These will be great for dresses and skinnies. Love the wedge heel.
#12-SM boots-These are super fun, the red zipper is great! A bit of a tough girl vibe with these.

Overall all your hard work was a resounding success! Super job!

Those red zippers made me zing! They will be fantastic on you. And all the other shoes look great, as well. The red ones look like a gorgeous colour. And the nude ones do not appear granny-like to me at all; quite the reverse. The tall boots are a terrific colour. I think you did brilliantly, and it must feel so good to have a choice of footwear in your size.

1-2. Love them. Beautiful, deep color. Fun detailing.
3-4. These are the taste I still haven't acquired, but I love the final choice, they look great on you and also look ultra comfy.
5-6. Love these. They too look very comfortable and are also very funky.
7-11. The boots are my favorite of the lot. I wouldn't worry about width on top (admittingly, I still have a lot to learn about boots' fits) but I can't wait to see them in action. Love the zipper at the back.
12-17. Combat boots are the style I know least about, so I'll pass. But I must say I adore the red zipper.

I know you were after 4 pairs, so I'd like to know which pair sneaked in as the 5th one you couldn't leave behind

My dad had troubles with finding good quality shoes his whole life and sometimes used to go back and buy 2nd pair of the same style if he'd realized they'd work for him. His approach is therefore that the good shoes cannot be too expensive. With that in mind and knowing you were on a real mission here, my conclusion is - mission accomplished. Enjoy your fab findings.

Every pair is a wonderful addition to your wardrobe. What great choices! The BP Runway boots don't look too big al all but you may be happy to be able to fit a pair of wolly knee socks inside them in cold weather.

I think the fit of the boots is good and love the zip up the back.
Also on the last pair I see you getting a lot of wear out of these. They look comfortable and will add such a nice 'edge' to outfits and yay for versatility : )

What a great collection you scored. I agree with everything Ornella said about them. I wasn't sure at first about the red pumps, but when you're facing front your legs look great and I love red patent (looking myself actually).

What a score!! You must be very delighted, I'm so happy you found all you wanted AND MORE! Love the rich color and elegant look of the pumps, they look awesome with jeans as well, the gold detail only adds more interest :). The boots are beautiful and fit you wonderfully, I see only the smallest gap on top, if any, and they will look smashing with leggings as well, they look fab with the dress already. The low contrasts Fidjis and oxford are very flattering and versatile, perfect with your coloring, and you just can't go wrong with the combat booties with that red zipper at back! Congrats on the loot

I love those bp boots, they look like they were made for you. The oxfords and nude fidji's are great too! I'm not as excited about the combat boots, but I'm sure you will find a great way to style them. Congrats on the great haul!

I read every word of your NAS mini-series Sveta and loved it. You got some fabulous stuff there. Love those red shoes adn the oxfords, and the boots... gosh I love everything! Not a bad purchase in the lot.

Can't argue with a single thing! Although I guessed you would choose the brown oxfords, the gray look outstanding in these pics - you and hubs were right; this color is great and low contrast for wearing with bare legs. I don't think the cognac boots are too big at all, and the combat boots are SO fun! I'm a sucker for convertible items, and the red zipper is too cute. I prefer them laced when folded over to keep a sleeker leg line, but that is the only possible thing I can find to nit-pick.

So happy you had such success after your first trip out to NAS. The online ordering was worth it 100%!

I was absolutely drawn to the Me Too red pumps when I saw them during presale I didn't try them on b/c I didn't need them but I think they are just gorgeous. They look stellar on you.

The oxfords were another shoe I admired during presale; I think the gray will get a lot of wear with the rest of your wardrobe.

The cognac boots are a no-brainer to keep. They look great on you and very well fitted from the back, side and front, so I see no reason they won't work for skirts.

The Fidjis look FANTASTIC on you!! Drool!

The combat boots are another 10. All this new footwear is really going to take your outfits up a notch: I'm guessing you will be sending Angie into orbit on a regular basis come fall and winter.

You made tremendously fab picks, and you were so thoughtful with your choices. I can't wait to see the outfits you put together with your NAS haul!

Wow - Sveta - you sure made up for the first 'failed' NAS spree. I love every single pair of shoes/boots here (enough to go check out those lace-ups - grrr, you!) and adore how they all are so differnt from each other. No real overlaps, but a wide variety of gorgeous footwear for now and fall/winter.

I'm just so pleased for you. You certainly seem to have a savvy grasp on your footwear style

Jonesy / Kyle, I was almost crying that none of the tall boots fit perfectly - these wedge ones were the closest fit so I went for them. It is such a releif that this gap is not a deal breaker!
Vildy, that red zipper had me too!
Lisa, I sized up in Me Toos ( my size was a bit tight and I know that patent does not give as much as leather) so I think I would have enough room for the insert. What are you usually using?
Angie, thanks for the stamp of approval! My goal was to expand my footwear collection so it gives me more options - both in styles and in colors. You said on the other thread that brown oxfords are better for me - and now I am beating myself for not keeping them both... but I really want to wear them in summer more with bare legs and I think grey work better.
Suz, it was really exciting to have that many shoes to try on!
Heather, I need to live with them through the fall and see - I have returned 4 out of 5 pairs I bought on last NAS because I did not have much choice in the store and settled on what was available instead. Let's see if this strategy works better for me.
Ornela, oxfords and combat boots are new to me too. I have no idea if I will be able to incorporate them into my style successfully but I want to give it a try - it is more fun to step out of your comfort zone! I cannot really say which pair was #5 - maybe Fidjis as they were the most expensive and not on sale?:-)

Rae, my hubby suggested to lace the flaps - I was thinking that having flaps unlaced will add that extra volume to balance my thick legs...I guess I would need to play around with this.

Sara, I was aiming to pick up footwear different from each other and from what I have now - nice to know I succeeded.
Marianna, that was incredible to have that much choice! It really helps to focus on the fit when you have ability to compare and other styles to chose from. I am not going to shop for footwear any other way anymore. Fidjis were 12.5, not in European sizes. I did not even ordered size 12 in them as I knew they run a bit small.

Oh, about that mini gap on the BP boots: it barely shows, and I would think that any osrt of tights would take up that minimal space. Leggings will certainly fill up that tiny space.
