I decided to report on my NAS in two parts. Part 1 will be about the trip itself and part 2 will include the pictures of the loot.
My hubby agreed to go with me - which I consider a heroic action on his part: not just shopping with his wife but 2.5h rive one way to shopping with his wife! Out shopping trip took 12 h in total and we were really tired when we got back. In my defence I should say that my hubby also got something yesterday - Calibrate trim fit sportcoat (fits him like a glove) from NAS and Sandro Moscoloni shoes from the Rack - pic #1-2 (this is the sportcoat, not my hubby!).
OK, back to my shopping! It took a while to find my order in the Customer Service. They were able to do it only I after I said I am from Canada - apparently they stored it all in a separate room.
At first SA asked us to bring the car somewhere to pick it up but I told her I want to try everything on and return right away what does not fit. Then she told me she will put everything into bags and bring to me so I can take all this into the dressing room on the 2nd floor. She went inside and then came back asking if I prefer to try shoes on right here in the customer service - and this is why (pic 3-4). These two huge boxes contain my 20 pairs of footwear. There were 4 more but they were delivered last and were waiting for me in the shoe department. This is how she brought them out - pushed them out actually!
It took me 2 hours to have the first go through these 20 pairs to discard the ones which did not fit well or were uncomfortable. I don't know if that Customer Service have seen anything like this before!
pic 5- I am trying on Trouve oxfords in both colors to select which ones I like better. Guess which ones I kept?
pic 6-7 - I am trying on BP Ruston boots. I liked them from the front but not from the back and they were too loose on top.
pic 8 - what I was left with after the first round oh shoe trying: 6 pairs plus all the clothing I have ordered. Here I am heading to the second floor to try all the clothing on and make a last go on the shoe selection.
pic #9 - this is what my hubby did to entertain himself why waiting for me - I thought that was a cool picture!
Clothing was not as high on my list as the footwear but I had few things to try on: - Trouve shrunken blazers in camel and grey plaid. As Angie suggested I have ordered size L and it was too big. Fortunately they had both of them in size M which fitted perfectly. I find this blazer less tight than the Hinge one from the last year and sleeves have more room. I bought one - can you guess which color?
Halogen sweater peplum jacket in magenta - it was nice but I decided to skip. I would prefer the magenta color to be more saturated anyway.
Halogen pencil skirt in magenta - unfortunately I have ordered petite as they were out of my size in regular length. Although they come back in stock later I decided not to order again and let fate to decide if I need another skirt or not. Well fate decided that I do not need it - they did not have it in regular length and petite was too short. As with the jacket I would prefer a more saturated and dark color anyway so I was not really frustrated. Let's see which colors they will have next year!
I also ordered some jeans from NAS: COH AVA straight leg, Paige Skyline straight leg and Rivet and Blues Shannon trouser jeans. I have also ordered Paige Hidden Hills bootcuts for full price to try on. So I tried them all on. Apparently COH bt=rand is not for me: as before these were too low in a rise for me. Sannon trousers were OK but I needed to size up. Then I tried Paige jeans- and I think I found mu premium denim brand. Both their jeans fit really well but one was on sale and another full price. On the other hand I already have CJ straight leg in a similar wash but I do not have any bootcut jeans at all. So I was considering Shannon trousers for $59 and Hidden Hills for $189...tough choice. I really liked the Paige ones but they are 3 times more expensive! In the end i decided to bite the bullet and go with the Paige. I have asked SA if I can return everything on my Visa and then buy them on my Nordstrom card to get points and she said sure. So she returned Paige jeans for $ 189 and then scanned them again for purchase - and they cam through for $69!!! I could not believe my luck but from now on I would never settle for less expensive anything just because of the price! That was a real highlight of my day!
That is pretty much a summary of my trip. I have ordered around $3500 in total and the stuff I kept came to below $700 so it was not that bad!
Thanks for reading this - I am afraid it is a bit long but that was a long day!
