My Mustard capsule

A post experiment from Finds. The jeans are usually not a style that will work for me but this pair usually is ok. It is oversized, but I love the color, especially this time of year. I have a couple of print tops that need to be pressed and added. One is a mustard and white checked shirt with 2/3 sleeves and one is a big floral on mustaard with short sleeves. I welcome your styling ideas for any season.

Wow you have a great collection of mustard pieces. Not knowing your wardrobe well, its hard to suggest but I am really surprised how well mustard goes with pink and red. Black is an easy option to wear mustard with. You could try bookending with mustard shoes and earings or a mustard shirt and black pants.

What a stunning collection, Joy! My favorite pairing with mustard is navy/dark blue. A slightly less expected one would be with blush, and one could throw in some metallics for extra fun.

Thank you Sally and Tanya,I will try black but lately have been pairing mustard with brown the most, maybe because it has been awhile since I wore brown. I have small collections of olive and of rust and a bigger collection of navies (6/7 different ones!)

What a fantastic collection of mustard pieces! I love that you also have fabulous earrings within the capsule. The patent bag is fabulous, too.
Besides the suggestions that Tanya and Sally have, cream would be a fresh complement to mustard. I also love the colours in the floral top you have here - the grey looks amazing with mustard.

Katerina, I love the idea of adding cream to mustard. I see that I need a scarf. I have a yellow it not mustard. The closest is a navy and black floral with some mustard flowers, bought to pull black and navy together.

Chewy, I love how those earrings catch the light. I have a pair of topaz but the silver holding the topaz almost dwarfs it. Maybe the mustard will make the topaz stand out more. I will try it.

You do have a nice capsule here. I am pondering mustard and blue now. I feel like my inclination has been to wear mustard with brown or orange/red-orange...

I tried a mustard jacket with a grey skirt and navy blue and wore it all with the dark floral scarf that combines navy, grey, black and mustard and liked the result.

You have so many great mustard pieces to work with! Lately I have been enjoying mustard with gray and mustard with cream and blue. I like both navy blue and a softer chambray color with the mustard.

Angie, I tied a bit of mustard with orange yesterday. I also wore the mustard jacket and rust (dark orange) pants and cognac booties a mustard small bag and an orange large one to ramp up the orange and mustard

Thank you Mainelady, for the great ideas for wearing mustard. Today is zombie day with a soft sage zombie tee and darker sage pants. Accessories and sneakers are silver.

Thank you Katerina. Should I wear a mustard light jacket or a rust topper. There I have a choice of a light EF rust coat or long rust cardigan or I can wear a black or brown or off white jacket?

Oh, what a difficult question as all the options seem great. Off-white sounds delicious and you wear it so well! Rust would be perfect with the plaid. Color wise all will work. What is the best for the weather and the silhouette?

Katerina, that is wise advice. The Weather Chanel says Halloween will be cold and cloudy with a chance of snow or rain. I high of only 44F and a low in the low 20’sF, or well below freezing.I may wear an off white puffer if it is cold and wet.
