Due to some very high and unexpected medical bills, I almost had to miss NAS. Then I decided that I would allow myself two very inexpensive items more for fun than anything else. One of them, plaid shirt that was an Angie pick, has arrived. I sized up to medium for a fluid fit (juniors sizing). The other one is a berry shirt that will only ship mid-August.
I chose this plaid shirt because the colors really appeal to me: pale muted blues with a bit cool dark brown and light peach. As an exercise, I tried to style it in a couple of different ways for different temperatures, kind of like those "Wear it now, wear it later" magazine features. The exercise was fun and I think I will try to implement some version of it for every new piece from now on.
#1: cooler summer day - worn with white BF jeans, pale blue pointy flats with peach trim and animal print belt in complimentary colors.
#2: mild autumn day - styled with cropped pullover, peach skinnies and white loafers
#3: real autumn - with taupe skinny cords and pointy taupe suede booties, brown belt and robin blue leather jeans.
#4: winter- with bitter-chocolate brown faux fur vest, brown belt, light wash jeans tucked into brown suede boots. I could also add a cream cashmere turtleneck under the shirt here but it was too hot for it today to put on even for photos only. .
