First.. the confession! I am on holiday, it's 2,00 in the afternoon and I am curled up in my bed and have just devoured the first season The Fall.

I have always been a fan of Gillian Anderson (XFiles fan from way back) but goodness, her style in this series is just fabulous! I suspect if I have a shadow style it just might be this:)

She wears beautifully tailored clothing, silk blouses and a stunning, fitted in at the waist, long tailored coat. *Sigh*

And the series is compelling. I am a huge fan of British crime and this BBC production is top notch. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys this genre.

I have ordered Season Two which won't arrive until Jan 8!!

Ack - there's a second season already? I loved the first one. And here is something I have told almost no-one: my daughter is named Jillian Dana (originally Gillian but when my brother called her Gilligan in the hospital , I changed the spelling) . Guess why?

I find these series quite addictive and I really wish I had the second series in my hands now:) Will just have to surf the net and enjoy her fab style in the meantime.

My favourite of the TV series so far is Borgen. Really, really loved it.

I watch Borgen, House of Cards, Lillyhammer. Will check out this one too. I loved XFiles back in the day...

If we are talking Borgen we can look at TWO more fashion counter egos with the main character's high corporate and the older scarf wearing journo... sigh... then with Gillian's blouses we could all be in fashion bliss land.

How did I know you were going to say Gillian Anderson? She is fab isn't she!

I won't go into any spoilers... but I have just finished watching the second series... you won't be disappointed

I've seen the first Season, too. It was quite good. Although I am sad that violence against women is at the heart of many a crime show these days.

We watched the series recently too!
I found her demeanour rather solemn- though in keeping with the story line.
Agree that her outfits are lovely.

I love Gillian Anderson ... her later style in the X-files I really loved (super-simple, of course!). I will check this series out. Can't quite love her as much without her red hair though ...

I love British mystery series and need to find a new one to watch. (Still haven't gotten over the end of Poirot.) I will check out this one--a stylish Gillian sounds like a can't lose solution. Thanks for the suggestion.
