Part I:
I've had family visiting for the last couple weeks so I've only had a little time to visit YLF and check out the Nordstrom early access items online. I was unexpectedly able to stop by a store today and I ended up buying three pieces. (I said that I wasn't planning to buy anything at NAS but a lot of the summer stuff I ordered in the last couple weeks will be returned as it didn't fit right, so I've got a bit of room in my budget.)

What came home with me:
Pleione mixed-media tunic - not my usual color scheme but I've been drawn to (some) pastels recently. I went with the L instead of the XL - hope it doesn't shrink too much!
Halogen knit jacket - this had no appeal for me online but I really dug it in person. This is a great indoor/outdoor weight for winter for those of us in mediterrean climates.
Caslon knit blazer - I had planned to order the gray and cream stripe but when I saw it in person I really didn't like the printed 'texture' of the gray parts. The olive is a bit of a color stretch for me but I think it will work well as a layering piece. I waffled between the L and XL but went with the XL in the end since it's 100% cotton.

What I tried on but didn't buy:
NYDJ ponte pants in gray - a little too high waisted for me but really nice quality, thick fabric - and they're *not skinnies* - good if you're looking for ponte pants that are more like trousers.
Halogen Taylor trousers - I'm currently between sizes so I gave these a pass; but these are really lovely, great fit for those of us who are pears or hourglasses, and machine washable but business appropriate, and plenty long!
