Can anyone suggest a good, pictorial, men's fashion resource? My husband wants to update his look but doesn't know how. I looked through magazines such as GQ and Esquire, but they didn't feature as many fashion photos as I'd hoped. And I've been looking on pinterest, but I'm tired of seeing the same few pictures over and over. He wears traditional/classic, business casual clothes and just wants to look more pulled-together and current. Ideas? Thanks!

Vanity Fair, Dwell, and Architectural Digest... Not fashion mags, but the men in them are classically fashionable. And maybe the Brooks Brothers website.

primermagazine.com - intended for a younger audience, but has applications for all gentlemen! The Get-up with it's how to dress for different scenarios is particularly useful.

If he's willing to spend some money, he might want to try Trunk Club dot com. It's owned by Nordstrom and they have stylists who will send you a box of clothing according to what you say your tastes are. Isabel at Trunk Club has done wonders for my husband's style game.

Coming back to say the styling is free but the clothes can be pricey, although you can specify your price range. My husband has expensive tastes! LOL

MsMary, Greyscale--I never even thought of Trunk Club for men. That's an idea! Although, I still think he needs to do some soul-searching to find out what he really needs from his fashion.

The men in my life are fond of Ask Andy https://www.askandyaboutclothes.com/
His tips on understanding color coordination were especially helpful to my husband who didn't quite know why orange and green went together if they were rust and dark green but were eye-searing if they were in their pure, saturated form. He also went "aha" when he realized colours like brown and grey had undertones depending on how they were mixed. I had to laugh when he informed me that a green-grey shirt I was eyeing just wouldn't work with his blue-grey pants--score one for him!

Jon has little to no interest in shopping, but does like to look appropriate for work (suits occasionally/dress pants and a shirt/jeans and polo) and for social occasions.

I now go with him to a couple of local retailers and we do a "shop up" and then I can repeat buy as required. I find the assistants in men's shops really helpful as they seem to get that is always shopping with a purpose.

In terms of ideas I find the odd television show useful for ideas....but Jon is not an early adopter so he is more likely to look at one of his sharply dressed friends and take inspiration from him.
