My hunt for bright or metallic sandal hunt (yay/nay)

I am trying to break out of my neutral/tan sandal rut with some bright or metallic sandals.

I don't know why sandals are such a struggle for me this year...I'm not loving too many of them! After scouring the interwebs tonight, I ended up kind of liking one pair of metallics, one pair of brights and one pair that is bright but not "colorful" - it's white! (This might be okay, as white shorts are eluding me!)

I'm in the midst of working on defining my style. Currently, I'd say my style is simple, modest, practical, ladylike and safe (boring!) In future, I'd like my style to read tailored, ladylike, polished, modern and minimalist

With that in mind, what do you think of these sandals to be paired shorts and skirts (casual MOTG daytime looks):

I like the orange pair. IMO the other pairs aren't expensive-looking enough. When I think of "tailored" I think "upscale". I think it might be the footbed that's throwing me off.

I loved the first pair. They have that athena goddess of the hunt vibe and makes me think minimalist even with embellishments

While I love the first gold pair I also think they may look too tan/neutral since that's what you're trying to break away from. LOVE the orange pair, and I find orange to be quite versatile. I think the white ones are kind of ho-hum.

I know just how you feel with sandals as I'm having the same problem. They seem to be either super high wedges or matronly with not a lot in between.

I also really like these Trotters. I had been looking at the nude color for me, but the pewter color would be nice for your metallic wants. They look so comfy, but still chic.

I love the gold pair. I've never worn the other brands, but aerosoles have always been wonderful to my feet. they may look closer to the tan/neutral you usually wear, but I think these will be good to slowly work up to more colorful shoes.

I really like both the metallic and the orange Aerosoles. I have a few pairs of Aerosoles now and find them very comfortable. I'm not crazy about the white ones - sorry.
