My Hubby "Gets It!"

My husband Kevin just sent me a text and shared that someone who saw us last night thought his wife so "stylish and pretty." He agreed.

I thanked him.

He responded: "You Look Fab!"

So, thanks YLF for helping me on my journey from frumpydom to stylish! Couldn't have begun to get this without Angie and you all!

Yes, my DH gets it. Not every item or trend (the faux tuck eluded him for awhile), but the whole concept of a happy, put together wife- yes, he gets that.

Suz & Eliza....it's great that our hubbies/SO get it. I know that Kevin appreciates that I attend functions with him. Now, I don't dread it like I used to and fight going with him because I didn't have a thing to wear. It's actually kind of fun now!

Angie.....you are so sweet! Kevin will be flattered that my "mentor" said that about him. I need to keep on reeling him in for my dream to come out and spend a day with you while he visits his sister. I turn 50 this summer....maybe this fall?

Hubby is oh so stylish as well! I asked my dear So if he had noticed any change in how I dress since YLF came into my life. I thought for sure he would say 'what change?' To my surprise, it was a resounding yes - and 'it's not boring' - which I took in a very positive spirit.

your Hubs has some serious style too ND!! - mine on the other hand..... it's hard to get him out of jeans and an old oxford shirt when he's not at work!! So I often get the look that says..... I don't understand what you're wearing, but I'll tell you look nice. His famous line.... "is that new?" even if it isn't. I think that's his way of validating that he is looking at my ensemble. I'm very envious of those of you whose SO's get it!!

My hubby gets it too! I've always been fashion conscious but more focused now. He is also now paying closer attention to what he wears and to what I wear. He is even making style suggestions when we shopped based on recent outfits. So much fun to share something that I really enjoy!

How sweet! He looks very stylish and handsome, and sounds so kind.

My husband gets it in the sense that I have something I enjoy like he enjoys video games or motorcycles, and he humors me by taking some WIW's when he's around. I also think that he is a little relived that he's not my only go to for opinions anymore. More than once, I have been told "I'm not sure... have you asked your ladies?"

Angela K....that's so fun that it's something you do together! Kevin's new thing is wearing funky socks with his suits. Yesterday, it was black & red chevron with purple elastic tops. No one sees it, but he is having fun within the constricts of his "uniform".

I don't have a husband any more, but last night my 27-year-old Marine son told me "you look very fab this evening" as we went out for a post-theatre dinner. So yeah, he gets it!

Yes, my DH gets it too. When I balked at an expensive pair of boots he bought me for Christmas, he replied, "I know you'll wear them forever. When you think about it, the cost per wear will become quite low." WOW! I think he actually listens to me when I go on and on about YLF!
