My Hair cut and color!!!! - YouLookFab Forum

I went today to get this cut/color...

But after talking to my stylist, because of my vibrant red (which doesn't fade at all!) it would take a few tries to get it to this color, and as she was going back to get the color ready I called her back and asked her to go darker red, instead. I just couldn't let go of a color that I've loved for 6 months.

The reason I wanted to go with a more natural color was because once I move back to Atlanta (next week), I'll be interviewing and wanted to look professional. And while my previous style was so very me, it's also kinda out there in terms of conservativism and what not.

I'm wondering, Angie, how you feel about hair accessories with glasses...yay or nay?

Now, here's the question...If I walked into your office for an admin assistant interview in professional attire and this hair, would you hire me?

I used to wear vintage clips and slides in my short pixie do all the time. Such fun! But they were much more subtle than yours because I'm older AND I had to keep the scale right for my dainty features. But the way you’re wearing your hair accessories absolutely works with your specs. We’ll talk about the interview aspect in another thread :0)

Angie: You bring up a good point. Are headbands and other hair accessories immature-looking? Should they be reserved for a certain age range? Or can someone in their early 30's (like me) wear them and still pull off a polished look? I'm thinking silk flowers, the butterfly (which is actually a pin that I attached to a hair clip!) and headbands. Anything I should avoid?
