This is a useful exercise. I've returned the vast majority of things I've purchased, so know I'm becoming better at recognizing what will and won't work for me. Still, I've made some mistakes and haven't significantly advanced my goal of being warmly and fashionably dressed this winter. I need to stop buying lightweight blouses and focus on cozy things like sweaters and jackets.
I'm ok with the orphans. I'd like to gradually create different color palettes in my wardrobe, specifically more earth tones and more navy-based outfits.
Successes
Intarsia bow sweater
Green lace dress
Green lace blouse
Munro booties
White jeans
Brown oxfords (wear a lot on the weekends)
Gray oxfords (wear a lot on the weekends)
A.E. Jeans (ugly but comfortable)
Burgundy wrap sweater
Impractical for cold weather but still like
Blue express portofino blouse
Leopard print portofino blouse
Orphans
Navy lanai blazer on deep discount ( having trouble figuring out how to wear it)
Earth tones chiffon floral blouse (gorgeous but matches nothing I own)
Mistakes
Black ankle pants (comfy but not practical for wet winter weather...don't work with my booties)
Black ballet flats (too short in the toe box)
Military jacket from h&m (just doesn't look good on me-lost receipt so can't return)
