my Fossil has sprung a leak

I'm so sad! I realized yesterday that my ~9 month old Fossil has a hole in it. it's right next to where one of the cross body straps attaches to the body of the bag, so apparently it's from stress. I don't over pack it so I don't know why that happened.

I love the look of Fossils and hate to think that they won't even last a year! I spent good money on this bag. Sigh

I plan to take it to a local cobbler to see if he will attempt to patch the hole. I don't expect it to be perfect but hopefully he can stop it from getting bigger.

That's sad Is it leather, or one of those waxed canvas bags they make?

It's leather. The hole is a little smaller than the size of a dime.

That's a bummer...but it has to be a rare thing; their bags are so well made. I'd check into the warranty option, like Mochi/Nancy said.

Thank you for the warranty suggestion, but I don't have the receipt. All I know is I bought it at Macy's last late winter/early spring.

Oh that stinks ! I am so sorry about that. I have a couple of Fossil bags and they do seem so sturdy. They are not cheap. It would be disheartening if they don't hold up well. Let us know what happens.

I would absolutely drop Fossil and email.

Take it to Macy's and ask them to replace it. If you bought it with a card, you should be able to find the transaction on your statement and use that to have them look it up.

I empathize. I had a Fossil bag that broke which I bought from 6pm. I sent it off to Fossil. Nada. No response. If I buy Fossil again, it will be from Nordstrom.

Eek! I was looking at that bag to replace my Lucky Brand crossbody when it goes bye-bye. I hope you can get it fixed or replaced!

Definitely follow up with the store Brenda. I have one Fossil bag and they are not inexpensive. Keep us posted on what happens. And good luck!

Definitely check the warranty. I have a Fossil wallet that's 6 years old and I absolutely love it. I have worn Fossil watches almost all of my adult life. I know they have 11 year warranties on their watches and they repaired mine for free when it was 7 or 8 years old.

Even if you don't have the receipt, maybe either Macy's or Fossil will help you based on your CC statement, if you payed with plastic.
