I joined about 18 months ago and got so much help from Angie and other forum members. I haven't been on much these last 9 months because of work, moving cities, small child etc, but I have to say even though I haven't made any waves fashionwise, I have had probably the most successful year clotheswise ever in 40 years. This was probably due to so much help getting a grip on what suited me, and what to ditch.
I have had very few down days as far as getting dressed in the morning goes because after so much searching, I had a formula and knew what suited me. It stood me well in those busy times and I often had people say "you always look nice", and "You have a style of your own" So thanks to all who have helped and shared on the style journey.
I have some down time now in this New Year period so I am going to spend some time taking photos, making collages etc and redefining my style.
This is what I have learned:
I suit a minimal, tomboyish look. Even the dresses I wear are very minimal and simple.
It is important to keep your hair coloured and cut well (even if you like the messy rock star look)
My look revolves around well cut jeans, fitted but skimming longer tops and a variety of jackets.
Accessories can lift an outfit.....bags and shoes are important. Great coloured scarves can add variety to a bland canvas.
