Also, an unexpected color on your nails, if you paint them? I wear a lot of black and grey and this winter have been enjoying "tuxedo gray" (a pretty charcoal grey) or a very dark, almost black, purple.

Scarves are always good too! Could be a solid but you could also get away with a pattern. Maybe a floral or abstract? Bring in colors that are similar to your lips or eyes?

shiny, all great suggestions. It seems that we are on the same page actually. I am looking for some knee high suede gray boots, but no luck so far. I want them to match my favorite winter handbag (find 1), but it is so difficult to get the correct gray when online shopping. And I am also in the market for new white hand bag which is my default for summer. My current one (find 2) is ready for retirement, white handbags are very sensitive and not long lasting, at least in my case. I have my eye on this handbag (find 3) but unfortunately it has gold hardware, and I would prefer silver.
And yes I do paint my nails, wearing chanel orage ( pic 1) at the moment, nice dark gray color. And my favorite scarf is pic 2, goes with almost everything.
