My first pair of Fryes-K/R

My birthday is coming up and DH took me to NAS to shop for gifts. I ended up with these and am wondering if they fit my style....

#2 was the other option on sale but seemed too clunky and massive and decided on the studded Wyatt's.

Both are lovely. I don't know your style but I prefer the Veronica. It is clunky though & I haven't been wearing mine lately, in favour of less clunky styles, my Carson shorty isn't too different from your studded one, but I don't wear those either. Anyway it could be a seasonal thing. Winter might get me into them. I guess I'm not much help but thought my thought process might help.

Love both. I like 2 the best and would have it if I could order from NAS. I have tall Veronicas and once I started wearing them (not on team wear), I fell in love with them.

Both pairs are gorgeous! The 1st ones seem to have a bit of a western vibe to me - so I would take that into consideration when thinking about whether or not they fit into your style!

I don't think you can go wrong with ANY Fryes. I opted for the pair you showed in pic #2, but in black (I already have tan short Fryes otherwise I would be all over #2 in brown as you show them here)

I have the pullon version of #2 in black from NAS last year. I think #1 is more cowboy, and #2 is more moto/rocker so it just depends on what style you want to go for. They're both fab!

I don't know if the Wyatt is similar in structure to the Carson (it looks like it might be), but I did find the Veronica much more comfortable than the Carson. I sold my Carsons because my feet slipped around too much, plus the sole was thin and curved upward in a typical cowboy shape, which all added up to major ball of foot pain. Veronica is much thicker soled and cushy IMO. (but they are heavy, just so you know.)

I saw both - on their own I prefer the Veronica because they are most stompy-punk. The others seem more Western cowgirl. But I'd have to see them on you to make a call!

Thanks everyone for chiming in about your Frye boot experiences and preferences. I had a really hard time deciding between these two styles. I don't really relate my style to western or rocker punk so maybe that was part of my problem. I ended up exchanging the Wyatt's for the Veronica's, because they seem a little more versatile and the soles are waterproof which seems more practical for the Pacific NW, but I still love the studded Wyatt's! I'm hoping the clunky chunky feel will be a little less obvious to me in the winter, something about trying them on in the summer in Bermudas.....anyway, looking forward to putting my first pair of Fryes through their paces!
