Ok, I have watched from the sidelines the past few years and never jumped in so this year I took the plunge and am really happy with my purchases. I really enjoy and appreciate everyone's reviews and sharing so I will do the same.
I have patiently been looking/waiting for the right pair of navy boots and or booties. The Aquatailia Carie bootie in navy was a hit. However, I was surprised my regular size 9 was too snug for my comfort. I have a narrow foot/heal and low volume foot (learned this from Angie and YLF). I also have normal/smallish calves. And the 9 felt snug on my toes and calf. The 9.5 was much better. Its a beautiful shoe. I am obsessed with block heal and the height was perfect.
Next I tried the Dolce Vita Tommi in Tan. I want to add tan, camel colored shoes to my wardrobe. At first I thought they would be too casual for me but they are just darling! Super comfy and so much fun. Keepers in my regular size 9. They are so cute I want to get them for my 16 year old daughter (if she likes them).
1901 (Dorris Day or as others have commented the Betty Draper) dress. I purchased my favorite color red and on a whim the striped. I am an hourglass and typically live in sheath or fit and flare dresses. And I rarely wear anything below my knees. I figured I would not keep cuz of the length and volume of the dress. Boy was I WRONG! It was spectacular! I felt fantastic in it! I kept the striped because I loved the white lining and it was such a wild card for me! Thanks Angie - you got me WAY OUTSIDE MY BOX.
Lastly, I lucked out and got the Hallogen cashmere wrap. It was sold out but my local store located the very last one in N.Carolina and shipped it to me. This is just what I needed for when its too cold in my office. I was looking for a neutral alternative to a coat/jacket. Its perfect!
